My friends and I are going to play a 1k point game with a single objective, they play SM and CSM, so I was wondering about your guys opinion on my list.

I know this list is lacking suits and markerlights but for the strategy that I'm going for I'm wondering if it would work.
The Pirahna's would be used to harass each player making them keep their heavy weapons from moving if they want to destroy them, and also to drop the drones off for more harassment, my Shas'el would be mainly for taking out rhinos and speeders if they have them, while a squad or two of FW stay with the broadsides and create a fireline. Since I know they really really hate railguns they'll want to take out the broadsides, while the gundrones screen my other squad of FW to claim the objective. I was also thinking about DS my gundrones.

So any comments are always welcomed and thanked. And anythings that this list is weak against would be helpful to know.

broadside load out should either be, Targ array or Stab system... the TL PR isnt worth the points when you could just fire the rail gun..

id drop the gun drone squad and take some drones for your suit teams and more battle suits... consider a elite 3man team of MP/PR/Multi crisis suits is 186pts, a 3 man team of TL MP/Flamer is 141pts... i think youd get alot more bang for your buck going that route... especially if you just throw in a 3 man team of each and add drones to the broadsides and hq

*edit* i personally also thinky ou need some rides for oyur fire warriors... even if its just a straight cheap fish, Devilfish + Dpod.
anything in a ride can be reduced to a 6man squad to cut back on points sitting in a fish hiding.. if your not going to fish up, id at least say drop to 1 squad of FWs, and put in kroot for the rest of the points and just infiltrate/deploy them into cover...or outflank them

I don't want to sound ungrateful but I'm wondering if I have sound reasoning for my reasons...
The TL PR for my Broadsides for when they get up close, for the rapid fire range. I picked drones for more of a mobile screen in which it's not a big thing if they die. And I was thinking about mounting my FW but I think that might draw too much attention to my forces since they both have learned to fear them.
Also I forgot to mention we usually don't play with reserves or outflank.

Heresy! No reserves or outflankers!

Besides that, I would suggest that you never take piranhas.

They may be fast, but they aren't as dependable/good as suits. You could get about three suits with fusion blasters/ something else/ multi-tracker for the price of two piranhas, and they would do more damage/ not die as fast.

You can get 5 Plasma/Fusion/Multi suits for a little over the points of those piranhas, or about 6 Fusion/Missile/Multi suits for about the same points over. There is no way that those piranhas could ever out fire-power or outlive those suits.

Everyone takes suits for a reason: they are awesome.

Beyond that, this is a very solid and good list. You are well rounded, with something for everything, and you didn't over-upgrade anything.

EDIT - Do I need to stress how weak the piranhas are? Very, very weak.

EDIT EDIT - Also, people who take piranhas usually have very specialized strategies in using them, unless you have such purposes... battlesuits.

Whichever they are, I'm not on the Reich ones, clearly.

It looks like a turtle list? If it is then the plasmas are fine on the broadsides as you can still move 6 inches while being able to shoot 6 str6 ap2 shots at 12 inches. A targetlock and bonding would be nice for one of them cause 3 rails at any target is pretty over kill. You should try and fit some kroot in for counter assault.

From another post (I have this in tactics as well) I'm planing on dropping the Piranhas down to two groups of one and adding kroot. Also as of now the Broadsides are single squads, is that a good or bad idea? I did it since I wasn't going to another heavy support and now I don't need to worry about LD tests and target locks.
