My friend got a Necron lord off of e-bay recently and asked me to paint it, and since i have yet to paint one i thought it would be fun. well i have it mostly painted all it needs now is to have the gem painted once i get the various greens needed. and it will be complete; well kinda.

Not bad. The metal is a little thick looking though. Washing it with badab black will giv it some dimension, and highlights are nice too.

The red is a little too bright. It's almost overpowering. A wash will help that too. ^>^

it's mainly the flash, i don't know why but with all my modals the red can be a dark maroon and still turn out bright red. as for the metal it has a layer of what I'm presuming was GW primer that was a bit thick and since it was black it hid the fact that some areas had way to much glue or paint or something and had i noticed it before i started i would of striped the paint in a heart beat. as for the wash I'm working on getting some GW black wash, all i have atm is ogryn flesh and delvan mud.

thats really cool. I havent seen an old Necron Lord in ages.

Solid paint job, but you could really put the icing on the cake with a few highlights or as samus said, a wash.

nice one
