my uploads to the gallery come out blank

i've been trying to upload pics from my pc to the gallery but they constantly come out a grey blank when uploaded. the files are jpgs about 1.7mb in size on average and i'll attach one to this message as an example. how come the gallery isn't registering my pics?

here's what it looks like when i'm done uploading...

if you click on the lower blank image (the attachment), the image opens up normally in IE.

It's because you have them saved in some sort of non standard JPG Image.

What you want to do is download GIMP, open up your files and re-save them as either a JPG or a PNG (I recommend PNG as it won't cause the photos to become grainy).

I say to use GIMP as M$Paint will just make your nice photos all grainy.

Edit: The Link I gave you assumes you are using Windows, if you are not, please forgive my rudeness and download GIMP from here unless you have it already of course!

Gwar is correct - you are not uploading standard JPG images. Follow his advice and it should work.
