it's as simple as tht. what's an easy way to make a mycetic spore?

The cheapest option is probably Styrofoam balls you get from a craft store and then green stuff tenticles on them. I remember making snow men out of these when I was a kid and they were really cheap.

My cousin had this Plasma Hatcher toy which is basically an egg which a creature hatches out of. Here is a link to the cheapest one I could find.

You could repaint the egg part of toy put it on a base and make tenticles coming out of the egg.

I have seen tutorials using the Sprayfoam from hardware stores. Just spray on your surface with more in the middle and maybe lines stretching away from your large puddle and then leave it to expand and dry. You can add more on the center blob to build it up after it dries.

If you can find them, the plasmahatcher eggs are pretty painless. Here's one I did up as a spore:



I certainly wouldn't pay the $20 plus they're going for in the google search I just did though. Check ebay from the UK as I've seen a few that still look somewhat cheap.

Not to thread jack, but kindda. My wife is now at a playable Nids level, and was asking me about the spore. Ive no clue about the damn thing really. How big should they be? I know it says MC and all but.....I dont want to use a dred base and go from there, as that would look tiny.
So whats the size of these things normally?

The Megabloks egg posted above is maybe the cheapest good looking model. Have a look in the toy store for more "Dino eggs" with different designs.

Go to Michaels and buy some large styro eggs and green stuff them to look like a pod.
