Looking good - that's a lovely, deep yellow you've got there.

Nice one, I hope you can maintain that standard for the whole army. Love the yellow

Great job. The yellow is not overly bright, and it doesn't make t he model look like a big mass of bright, shiny yellow armor. The black with blue lightning on his axe is awesome as well.

Wow, this is gorgeous. How did you do the yellow? I tried Imperial Fists for my first army. After I calmed down, stripped the paint, and removed the three failed models embedded in my drywall, I switched to Salamanders. For my money, yellow is the hardest color to paint. Since everyone I talk to seems to have a different method, i would be interested to know what yours was.

Answers:

How I did the yellow: base coat with Army Primer Daemonic Yellow color primer; hit any missing spots with Iyanden Yellow. Wash with Gryphonne Sepia. Touch up areas with golden yellow and highlight with P3 sulfuric yellow. So ... many yellow coats

Skin tone was a Tanned Flesh basecoast, Bronzed Flesh + wash + highlights with Elf Flesh or some other light skin tone mixture. Anything that looked too bright got a thin wash of sepia.
