Hi All,
Me again with the Necrons.

When is a Necron's eligibility for a WBB determined is it at point of death i.e. as soon as all wounded necrons are put on there side from an enemy units shooting. Or when you come to make the WBB roll at the start of your turn.

e.g. A unit of of 10 warriors is shot by bolters, three are 'killed' and placed on their sides awaiting WBB. Then another unit opens fire and kills 3 more with bolter fire, and these are placed down awaiting WBB, but the first three to fall are now more than 6" from a functioning necron of the same type. The unit passes its morale check and remains in position until the Necron players turn. Do the three warriors in the front rank get a WBB for being within 6" at the time of their deaths or not?

I know this is sort of covered in the FAQ, but that question is about the Res Orb.

Thanks in advance.

It's determined at the point of death to see if it can even take WBB (eg It's hit by a S10 weapon). However, it's only at your Movement phase when you check the range to see if its within 6".

So the first three warriors in my example would be denied WBB on the grounds that they are more than 6" from a like unit?

Yes, each Necron model must be in range of a like unit, not just one model, so all 3 would be denied WBB.
