I've finally given in to my interest in 40k with the not-so-subtle persuasion of my husband, so I'm new to the game. I've been lurking around Dakka for a while in attempts to learn and build my army (Tyranids  ...heehee). Anyway, this place seems like a great vault of knowledge. Thanks for all your insight!

While I've never played table-top strategy like 40k (except for that one fantasy Warhammer game I played a few months ago), I have been playing RPGs for about 18 years now. (Wow, didn't that make me sound old ...) I'm excited to get into painting (I'm a graphic designer) and army building. It should be an interesting new extension of my creativity.
