Hi Folks,

I just finished my librarian from Spacehulk that I will be using as the commander for my Ultramarines army.

I thought you might like to take a look.

Now on to finishing his Landraider.

Wow - one of the best I've seen. Love the blue. I think the only weak spot is possible the blade, but overall this is a gorgeous mini.

Looks great. I especially love the face on the librarian. Seldom do those look so realistically menacing.

Ah, it ain't that great.

No, I'm kidding. Crisp is the word. Is that U symbol freehand?

"Well, isn't the enemy of your enemy, like, your friend? Or whatever? Can't they team up?"
"Not exactly. In this setting, the enemy of your enemy is still a floating, greasy, armored brain."
"Well, what about his enemy? Maybe you could be friends with him."
"No, because that guy is a mechanical horror in an undying battle shell. He sails from world to world in a flying tomb, serving gods who eat hope."

Thanks for the kind words guys.

@gunzhard I agree, the blade is the weakest part. I still haven't found a good technique for those yet.

@Darth Badguy Yup its all freehand, I prefer it to using transfers. I am gradually improving my freehand and I am now on the lookout for models that have some potential for 'twiddly bits'

The blue is so clean and vibrant...how do you get it so even? My stuff is a little splotchy, if it were half that smooth...I dunno what I'd do, lol

This looks great! IMO it could use some very light edging, but who knows. That may just make it look bad. I just feel that there's fabulous (yet subtle) highlighting on the surface of the armor, and that the edges need a little highlighting to go with it. Again, wonderful job on him.
