Here's the promised second list!
HQ:
Logan Grimnar- 275
Troops:
5 WG terminators, 2 combi meltas, 2 combi plasma, heavy flamer, 2 wolf claws (one on two guys), chainfist, droppod, deathwind launcher- 270
5 WG terminators, 2 combi meltas, 2 combi plasma, cyclone missile launcher, 2 wolf claws (one on two guys), chainfist, droppod- 275
5 WG terminators, 2 combi meltas, 2 combi plasma, cyclone missile launcher, 2 wolf claws (one on two guys), chainfist, droppod- 275
5 WG terminators, 2 combi meltas, 2 combi plasma, cyclone missile launcher, 2 wolf claws (one on two guys), chainfist, droppod- 275
3 WG termies, Droppod, - 134
Total: 1504
I like this list much more than my previous list- first, I've got 4 scoring units that are very versatile, some beastly grey knights, too- pity that I can't take Arjac without more points.
Kay. here's 2000:
Elites: 4 GK terminators, brother captain, incinerator- 270
Arjac- 188
chainfist and stormshield on logans unit: 30
1 more termies with logans pack (moved from arjac's unit- the one with the heavy flamer, has combi plasma): 0
leaves me with 28 points (24 since 4 over) Upgrade guys with cyclone launcher:
3 combi flamers (15), give one a frost weapon (one not in arjacs squad)
Total: 2001 pts.
Sorry if this is confusing!

Well now that the Cyclone Missile Launcher is actually worth a damn I would actually consider taking one in every single Wolf Guard pack.
Grey Knights do take up an Elites choice as per the Daemonhunters ally rules. Incinerator is about half the points of an Assault Cannon and 5 points less than a Cyclone Missile Launcher from the current Space Wolf Codex (so the GW gestapo will not come down on me for points). Incinerators and Psycannons are probably the sickest weapon choices available to Grey Knights a Heavy Flamer that ignores everything except for armor? Yes Please! Assault Cannon that doesn't rend but ignores Invulnerable Saves? Can we Say Eldrad is crying right now?
Honestly thought, I would drop the Grey Knights at this point as they're going to have to Teleport and not Drop Pod in so Logan has nowhere to go right now...
Use their points to buy 3 Cyclone Missile Launchers and then take another 3 Wolf Guard and a Pod to go with Logan to give you 5 pods in total. This gives you 3 Pods coming in on turn one and the equivalent of having 2 Long Fang packs in terms of Missile Launchers. This helps TREMENDOUSLY as Deathwing always have problems with surviving the counter attack from opponents and fast moving enemies (i.e. Eldar and Dark Eldar).
Hope this helps...looks solid to me.

I like the list. To me the grey knights are a bit overkill. I would take a runepriest in termy armor instead. and you might have enough points for Arjac.

Thanks all.
@ Unholy: Awesome advice as always- I always take it into consideration. This time, I'll act on it.
I will sure as heck replace the GK (as now, they're not legal) but at larger points, I'll take them with a brother captain (thanks, ImRightBehindYou), for their lone deepstriking potential.
Since that leaves me with 200 points, I'll take unholy's advice. however, that would leave me 9 points over- what to do about that? I could drop one cyclone, have 20 points left for more upgrades (maybe a deathwind launcher?).

Sure. if you ever pass through upstate new york. I'm a student, so I don't travel much.
Right, time to go up to 2000 points:
Elites: 4 GK terminators+ brother captain (think he's about 60? anyone got the points?) so about 250
Dreadnought, multimelta, HF, droppod, wolf tail talisman- 155
Another Cyclone or assault cannon (on logan's pack): 30
2 more termies with logan's pack: 66
What do you think? sorry about the GK inaccuracy- still can't find the codex.

Actually, I will be here soon, so we can fight. The Brother-Captain is 61 pts. And no, don't use Njal, go GK's. They are a very large threat and your opponent is sure to prioritize them, saving your army from a round of shooting hopefully.
And the poster above me, GK's can be allied. Its perfectly legal.

Coming to the list late looks like you've made lots of changes (the OP doesn;t make any sense now).
AS for the list what happens against Green tide? Do you just give up and go home? It appears you have very little horde control and given that hordes are Terminators achilles' heels anyway that seems a pretty large oversight.
Other than that looks pretty solid for the type of list it is.

Well Green Tide could be a nasty bit for this list; however, you're looking at a good amount of firepower coming out of each pod. If the 3 Cyclone pods arrive in first turn that is 10 frag missiles into the nearest unit. If you place your pods right you can make the tide come to you while you wail away with missiles and bolter fire. Then get the charge off and tear into them. Also, you can drop the pods in such a way as to funnel horde armies as you can drop them empty.

Seems interesting. I'd like to see a few reports on this one and see how it fairs. I think you'll surprise your opponent heavily with the way your army can play.
Best of luck mate.

Then get the charge off and tear into them.
Well drop pods aren't that accurate and droppong that many together can be difficult with terrain and all. Though I take you point. However the above seems hopeful at best given the Orks have a longer charge range than you how on earth with no vehicles are you intending on getting the charge off?

Well fling it this is the most important part about our little game of toy soldiers. What really decides how you're getting the charge off is how you deploy your forces. For example there are about 3 different methods of deployment that you can undertake in this instance:
1) Back To Back: Basically this is reminiscent of the "Hold at all Costs" type mission where you are completely encircled. The premise is that you bring all of your drop pods in a concentrated area and bait your opponent to come directly to you. In this way you can play the on your own terms and decide where you meet in combat. Here you can cluster around a terrain piece, an objective, etcetera. This opens up a lot of issues as the moment your opponent besets upon you, you're their for the duration and you'll have to depend on your 2+ armor save and equipment.
2) Empty Podding: If you're playing annihilation, this is probably your deployment of choice. Basically you deploy your entire force on the board and have the pods arrive empty. In this way you can effectively create a speed bump for oncoming hordes and such. Additionally, you can create fire lanes and choke points so you can maximize the potential of all of your firepower. One has to be cautious though as you can easily be outflanked with so few models so castle up in the middle.
3) 50/50: Basically an amalgamation of the above. Depending on the situation, no single deployment will win the game out for you so you split between deploying on the field and podding in. Great for capture and control and amazing for annihilation as well if you play it right as you can position yourself in such a way as to force your opponent to make the hard choices.

Thanks, mate. They deployment stuff will be usefull. Also, the fact that one pod is upgraded to a deathwind makes me happy about the wmpty podding- it makes a good center point. also, can droppods contest objectives? would be awesome if they could.
Alright two more things: what is this army really good at? I think unpredictability, sheer firepower, and brute force. Your thoughts?
Second, what armies and characteristics are dangerous to this army, so I can be wary of them? I was thinking that the lack of manuverability and low troop count could be a problem, as well as blast weapons, mech, and hordes (like orks, the main army I face other than MEQs).

Drop Pods can in fact contest objectives...makes them less ignorable, especially if you surround your opponents objectives with them.
This army is all about a punch in the face and taking a dozen jabs to the stomach. The simplest way to put it is you have to go balls to the wall or you're going to get smothered every time. You have VERY resilient troops; however, you need to ake sure you capitalize on this with taking advantage of terrain and such.
The number one opponent to this army will be hordes. Sure, Eldar can dance around you for most of the game; however, eventually they have to come to you. With hordes they want to go toe to toe with you and it is never going to be a fair fight. This is the point where you have to trust in your wargear and tactical discipline. I cannot tell you how many times an opponent has chanced upon 6 Grey Hunters only to be trounced in combat with a look of absolute "What the feth?". Play your hands right and never give up a weak point. If you know your facing outflankers, castle in the middle. Make them work for every single inch. If they take down a terminator, make them pay 2 fold.

Long fangs, get them. They are great.
The problem with 100% terminators is that they are easy to be whittled down easily with many guns or big guns just because they are 1W model. It's also a slow list if the opponent is smart with dealing with drop pod lists like holding their forces in reserve or forcing you to go first so they can light you up or just keep you skirted. Wolf guard are great but need support IMO.

The problem with reserving your whole army is you risk coming in piecemeal. If the Wolf Player pods in right and spreads out right, by the time you start coming on it could be bad news bears. Sure Dawn of War is where it's at; however, there are plenty of ways around the reserving strategy. If you play smart and aggressive you can win. Sure the Guard can drop Medusa shots on you all day long, but when you're 6" away, they may want to rethink that little idea.
It's just all about the way you play. Long Fangs really are replaced with all of the Cyclone Missile Launchers. Each Wolf Guard with a Cyclone is equal to 2 Long Fangs with Missile Launchers + he can move + he has a 2+ save. I think in the Long Run the Terminators can really shine, they just need to capitalize on what they are good at.
