Whats the hear say on this game I see small articles on it but nothing that satisfies me and make me giggle like a school girl on its realse date. Anyone know anything. Bonus Question. How would you set up such a game

1. Not sure if this is right place to discus, but its ok.
2. Will be revealed in e3 Gaming convention
3. Own a game compay and approach a publisher with your full out plan. Resources beyond you and i.

I figured their is so little known on this game its still a rumor. As to the game I dont know the name buts its a MMORPG of Warhammer40k

In the future, when posting a new thread please make sure:


1) Your title actually explains the point of the thread. So if you want to know about the 40K MMO, then you need to put '40K' into the subject title as otherwise the subject could be any number of MMOs that exist in the world.

2) If you are asking a question (i.e. you don't actually have information to share) then you need to put a ? mark in your thread title.

3) While news and rumors about video games related to 40K are borderline acceptable for the News and Rumors forum (as technically our News and Rumors forum is for new and rumors regarding miniature wargaming), we do have a 'video games' forum that is probably a better choice of location for such a subject.

4) Before posting a new thread, please do a search of the forum for existing threads on the topic you're interested in. There have been several threads regarding the 40K MMO, and doing a search for them will allow to find them.



If you fail to perform these basic bits of forum etiquette your threads will be deleted on site in the future.

Nobody really knows much about it. They're being very secretive. E3 we're going to see a trailer and gameplay stuff, supposedly, though. So just wait.

I'm more interested on finally getting something new on Space Marine.

Also, tomorrow is the day: First Ultramarines Teaser.

Aye not much really, two concept art pieces which looked nice (a downed Ork Fighter bomber being used as a outpost, and a gateway in a Imperial city.)

Some rumoured pics linked to a designer who was apparently let go after they where released onto Kokatu without his permision, although he insisted they where not for the game, but test renders tht got him the job.

Plus a leak from the THQ yearly meeting in Jan, although no one is sure if its even slightly accurate or utterly wishlisty the fact one of the places it turned up was 4Chan probably didn't help, but it was also on a gaming news site dated the same day, so no one is sure which was first.
If it was indeed accurate the game could be very interesting, four factions at launch for example, but I'd take it all with large quantities of salt atm.

Four factions at launch seems - completely believable - in fact, it's pretty much what one'd expect.

1) SPACE MARINES! (Duh)
2) Chaos SPACE MARINES (again, Duh)
3) Orks
4) Eldar

This is, as I say, pretty much the logical way to do things and the four basic factions pave the way for more races to be added to existing factions in new and costly expansions.

Guard get added to faction 1, traitor guard (or maybe Dark Eldar, as unfitting as it would be) to faction 2, Nids or 'Crons get added to faction 3, Tau get added to Faction 4.

Oh, and Sisters of Battle get power bikinis because, well, I think it's the law or something.

Eh, I mock, but I'm quite keen to see what news comes from E3.

Yeah, need room for the expansions. I hope that it turns out to be FPS mode and not like WoW were you just click and hope something happens. Kind of like Fallout 3 if possible and not like Fallout 2.

I wouldn't mind a Gears of War/Fallout 3 hybrid. You have to focus on cover like gears of war (or at least, how gears of war is supposed to be), but the game is set up like Fallout 3.

With objectives like MAG, and reliance on teams like Army of Two.

We're only in soft launch, still working out software bugs and dropping in code, hiring a second wave of writers, but we're getting full press access to E3 which is pretty crazy...

Anyway, I already informed the owner that I'm covering the 40K MMO come hell or high water.

When is E3 this year?

Next week.

Not soon enough I believe is the appropriate response, but the accurate response works to I guess.

I was mistaken, some of the "pre-E3" stuff starts next week...but E3 itself starts in two weeks.
