Not sure if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't get the search to work for me...
Anyway, what turret option is the better out of the choices available for the Razorback? I'm leaning toward either twin-linked assault cannons or lascannon + twin-linked plasma guns.
Thoughts?

T-L assault cannons are better than the T-L Lascannons and Heavy Bolters(within their range-band).

Las-Plas are good for TEQ hunting, but The assault cannons give you more shots at longer range(excepting the >24-48" range).

While assault cannons need to be close you get 4 shots all of which should hit in most turns and that is 4 chances for rending vs vehicles(which is an auto-pen on AV12 or less, and good chance to pen AV13), and 4 S6 AP4 shots vs troops is pretty darn great.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

The only issue with Assault Cannons is that because they have such a short range they will be in range of plenty of return fire. I prefer the TL-Lascannon version. I combat a 10 man tactical (usually done in pairs for 2 Razors), put 4 guys and a heavy weapon on the objective or in some cover, put the sgt, special weapon, and three bolter joes in the Razor. It's 48" keeps it out of harms way and I find my opponents won't target them much.

I played a Space Wolf Razorback list against Mech Guard recently. At any rate, the number of Weapon Destroyed results I received on the initial exchange of fire made me glad I took Lasplas.

Thanks for the quick replies guys.
It's cool because i've realised that the twin linked assault cannon from the LRC/R is compatible with the razorback kit ^^ So now i just need to work out whether to stick with a twin linked lascannon (from the kit) or try and convert some las-plas fun...

I usually deploy two Razorbacks, one with a TL HB, for my Sternguards, or a 5 man tac squad, and one with an TL LC with my Devastators, as an additional anti-tank option. Ultimately it depends on what you are going for with your army.

I love assault cannons, but I haven't had the parts to build turrets yet. They do have a limited range, but nothing feels better than twin-linked, heavy 4 and rending against infantry and lightly armored vehicles.
