I just found this on ATS, a metal band from Iran. Just another reason why we need to get ride of their dark-ages back-ass-ward leadership and let the people join the rest of the modern world. Primarily so these guys could get some better equipment. They have the spirit, just not the resources.

Not to be a boner-killer, but I don't see the ayatollah being overthrown any time soon.

I made no such claim, but it would be nice if the leadership could be gotten rid of without the usual 'shock and awe' crap the the US military likes to put on the justify their imperialism.

Hell it would be alot better if they went back to the dark ages, for a time the Muslim world was the most learned civilization on the planet and the most tolerant as well, it wasn't unitl about the 1950 that what we see now took hold.

That video is actually a pretty good example of exactly why we shouldn't get rid of the Iranian regime. There's a lot of great stuff going on in Iran, it's a lot more progressive and open than most of it's neighbours, many of whom are our allies.

If we decide at some point we just have to bomb the place, the bombs will be falling on guys like the ones in the video.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.
