Bounding Assault Marine

Every now and then people tend to tell that the army they play is much more difficult to handle than the others (and guess that makes them better players too) or they lost the game because opponent was using an army that requires no brains to play. That just made me wonder what does the Dakka community think.
Which army is the most easy or difficult to handle and why?

Space Marines 6700pts Tyranids 5000pts Tau 2350pts Blood Angels 2850pts Orcs & Goblins 1350pts

Fast attack centric armies like Biker Marines, Windrider Eldar, or most any Dark Eldar build are very hard to use well, but if you do you can cause a world of hurt. Meanwhile, armies with tough footsloggers like Marines or Orks are pretty forgiving, since their units are durable and versatile. It's a rapier versus a sledgehammer - both are effective, but one definitely takes for finesse and skill to use.

I am gonna have to go with the Imperial Guard at anything over 1500pnts. With a large points level game, you have to try pretty hard to lose with them.

In smaller point games, my money is on marines, as they are tough, have good weapons, and good armor.

Yeah +1 to Imperial Guard...it takes a lot of focussing and luck to stomp a competent IG player at higher points.

The more difficult armies I would say are probably Eldar (of both kinds) and GK.
GK is difficult because, yes, we all know you are super-uber Spess Mehrens but with your lack of AP2 and low numbers it is quite tricky.

Pure Grey Knights takes a ton of skill .

Pure Sisters takes a good amount of skill, too, mostly regarding the movement phase.

With other armies, it depends on the build...

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Grey Knights might as well have the words 'Hard Mode' on the front of the Codex.

Pure sisters have a fairly steep, learning curve, but once you start to know what you're doing, they can bring the pain.

The assault-centric armies (nids, Space Vampires, Space Puppies, Space Crusaders) strike me as pretty damned easy . Charge forward for two turns and have a big fight. They may or may not be the easiest armies to win with - but they are pretty easy to handle, or so it looks from here.
