I want to re-paint my old Tau cadre. I also thought I'd try something new with my limited painting skills and try some stippling.

A couple quick and dirty Shas'ui models later for paint scheme ideas:

Shas'Ui Tash'var Do'ryan leads his fire warriors against a Catachan regiment deep in the jungles of a Tau fringe colony (note this one isn't done, I didn't have any khaki colored paint for the cloth parts):

On a massive water planet on the edge of the Eastern Fringe Tau and Dark Eldar skimmers speed above the waves While the Fire Caste Warriors clash with nefarious raiders on massive floating shelves of blue-green algae; Shas'Ui Sa'cea Kais leads his team in the action:

So what do you think? Does the stippling look alright or does it just make the model look messy? Any preference between the paint schemes?

I personally dislike the stippling, but it just might be the photos.

Both color schemes look good, but I like the orange contrast with green in the first one.
