First, The tau were originally a desert dwelling race. The Fish Names on their Vehicles are Imperium based on their look and movement(The Skimmers glide through the air like dish through water). I would be really happy if the Tau Vehicles received names based upon their fluff and then were translated to the Imperium of Man's language.

Second, This Walker represents a new class of vehicle for the Tau and would call for a new naming structure.

Third, None of the listed names fit, especially the Nautilus.

Now for a few ideas using what I believe is a fairly accurate Tau Lexicon:

Korst'ray-Translates to "Death Walker"

Mont'mal'coar- Translates to "Battle Spider"

Ray'upt- Loosely translates to "Walking Mountain"

Tau'va- Translates to "The Greater Good" (I really like this name, the SXV141 Tau'va)

Then outside of fluff, the Dr. Who fan in me screams for you to Name it the "Dalek"

And the uber-geek from my childhood wants to make a Tron based "Grid Lice" reference.

How about calling it"

The Tick

Grid-Louse

The model makes me of the robo-sapien remote controlled dancing robots that have been around for a few years now. Maybe basing the name off of that......naahh.

This just reminded me of a very old arcade game that used a four legged thing that shot incoming attackers. The name for this game would be perfect.

"Tempest"

Still think the Name Tempest would be a better fit into the current Tau naming scheme....grumble..pout.

Seriously, Best of luck with the new models guys. Keep'em coming

BTW, I have an idea for a model and wanted to know if you guys only do your own designs or if you accept ideas from your prospective customers?

I still say "Tempest" after this old school video game:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempest_(arcade_game)

I have two problems with the Man o war name.

1)A Man o war is a Jellyfish and the Tau have enough problems with beieng called spineless.

2)The model in no way looks like a Jellyfish

Now if you are going with the British sailing ship theme it still doesn't look the part nor does it have enough guns for that distinguished name.

I'll let it go now.
