Well, I decided what my summer modelling project will be: six Inquisitor Lords.

And they will be extravagant

My first Inquisitor is in another thread, so I won't post anything of him here until he's 100% complete.

I figure I'll also need some fluff to support having 6 different Inquisitor Lords...

But for now, I'll start with the two freshly converted Inquisitors:

Inquisitor Lord Luthor Geitz (oh, and for a record, that's a piece of the Berlin Wall he's standing on, I was honestly suprised at how perfectly he fit on it):





Inquisitor Lord Hermes Trismegistus:

That's a nice idea, and will make a great project when all's said and done. A special battle mission whipped up for these fellows to fight in would be a nice way to trot them out when you're done.

So, a bit of constructive criticism: the SM vet (Honor Guard or whatever) helms are too recognizable. And two of them? Way too linear. If you keep even one of them, add bling to it until it's unrecognizable. And chop the other one and replace it.

I'm sorry, but I absolutely love those helms. They won't be going because I just love them way too much. They're one of the key reasons I chose the Calgar box as my base.

Inquisitor Lord Joachim Boaz:


This one's fairly simple. I was considering buying some termi arms on the weekend, but the project already cost me tonnes to begin with, and I'm only 4 Inquisitors in. The other 2 won't see construction until I finish the first 4, unless I get some crazy converting bug...

It's hard to see his head at this angle, but it's the head of Tsubasa Kurokami from Anima tactics (easily one of the best face sculpts I've ever gotten the chance to paint), with some really long GS'd hair. And despite his huge size, I've already decided that Luthor Geitz will be the 'leader' of the group.

It's really hard to get a good photo of this guy, since the way he's angled is kind of weird, especially without paint to define the features. I'd try and fish for a really good angle, but it's late, I've been converting him all day straight after work, and I'm too lazy to do more.

Well, Luthor Geitz sees colour. Nowhere near done yet, but he's still looking pretty slick. However, on the way to get primed, he took a nasty fall, and his staff broke, so it looks kind of disfigured. I'll paint it to be like a mystical rock... or something.

Anyway, here's what i have so far. Some experimenting with NMM (which I failled at which is okay, since it still looks pretty cool), and some freehanding.

Hermes is my personal favorite...dual swords reminds me of Kuma, and the name is rad, too!

Great converting, i'd say Boaz my favourite out of them.

Nice models, but the idea of three different Inquisitor Lords being attired in such a similar way is quite hard to believe.

Looking at them now, it looks to me like Joachim is the Inquisitor LORD and the other two are his followers - either Inquisitors on his staff or his interrogators.

Fluff suggestions -

- If you had them as the Inquisitorial Forces of a certain big imperial world, like Cypra Mundi or Hydraphur or something, then the uniform appearance would make sense. Maybe they are the resident Inquisitor Lord and Inquisitors stationed in the Inquisitorial Keep of this big planet, and have all left to combat an incursion or something.

- The classic 'six Inquisitors put aside their differences and team up to fight a big evil' story. This is great, but the whole thing about Inquisitor Lords is that each one is unique - having three dressed very similarly wouldn't work IMO.

Well, fluffwise, trismegistusl armour could be a gift from Luthor. As for "putting aside their differences," I like to think of them as warring against one another just as much as they fight alongside each other.

Luthor Geitz is mostly complete. His staff needs a bit of work, but otherwise, he's done.

By using a piece of the berlin wall, I feel that you have made a personal assault on my beliefs, and should therefore be promptly beaten and hanged.
I have no doubt that everyone in this thread can be declared a collaborator, and should also be swiftly found and executed. Know that if I ever see any of you in the streets, I will be forced to transform into Super neo-kommunistischen Menschen, and kill everyone within a 12km radius.

Nah, just joking. You guys are awesome. Also, Fafnir, is your avatar Morpheus from the Sandman graphic novels? If so, super kudos!

Fafnir, i gotta say, im truly impressed by your work.

Looking sweet, especiall like the guy in terminator armour. But I'm afraid I have to agree with the others. Having the same uniform on diferent inquisitor lords kinda destroys the unique feel. They are all diferent heroes, got diferent experiences and diferent wargear. And I think the models should represent that imho.
