Hello all,
I apologize for my last trading post. It sort of overwhelmed me with how much there was to do. Now I'm better prepared and maybe this time round we'll actually get to trading! smile.gif
I have a fair amount of 40k orks I'm offering, including some custom built vehicles and converted nobz, etc.
50+ boyz, about half painted and assembled and half WIP.
5+ nobz, I will have to see about the exact number
A custom wartrukk, the older version
A custom buggy
And a battlewagon that has been going under some experimentation. I'll understand if no one wants it smile.gif
Finally, I have a small BR Space Marine force, and a pile of high elves, dwarves, necromunda, etc that I haven't sifted through completely yet, but all look to be in good shape. Prices for those would vary I suppose.
I also have a ton of Empire stuff that's been laying around, I'd be willing to trade for IG or Daleks.
I would love to get my hands on some 28mm Daleks. I believe GW used to make them, and if anyone has some lying around I will trade well for them. Actually as long as they're 28mm I don't really care who they come from or what era they're from. I would prefer the original era Daleks but we can't always get what we want smile.gif
That's about it. PM me if you're interested and we'll talk business. See y'all round.

The Orks got to Antiga when my Warboss didn't like the look of the planet floating above his moon, and thought he should teach it 'Not ta stare at da Orkz!'
The Antigan 15th has survived on the simple but effective battle plan that every enemy can be beaten with enough foot soldiers and lasguns. |

i don't think you can get Retail for stuff that is assembled and/or painted. i know
if i'm going to pay new prices , i'd rather it be new products.

Indeed. The minute you grab a box of models off the shelf you can't hope to get full retail for it anymore, let alone for stuff that's already assembled and painted...unless it's painted masterfully, most people really won't care as they'll just be stripping them anyway.

If you want retail prices then the models need to be exceptional in there quality of painting and assembly, and you'll need images to prove how good them are. Otherwise, it tends to be between 20% off and 50% off retail prices for second hand Warhammer, I'm afraid.

Really? Well they all were assembled well I suppose, with GW super glue. But the paint is definitely average. That makes no sense though, why would people want to pay less for assembled minis? Wouldn't it go the other way? I mean I do understand the appeal of new models, but I certainly wouldn't turn down fully assembled guardsmen unless they were badly put together or hideously painted.
Very well, I may not sell my guardsmen then. Exactly how hard is it to strip the paint, and the glue?
EDIT- Because if there's a way to save me some time on rebuilding my guardsmen I'll take it over selling them. For the regular troops it'll be relatively simple conversions, backpacks, extra weapons, etc. So if I can strip the paint, that'd be wonderful. I assume there's a tutorial somewhere in Dakka Dakka?

People want to build and convert things to their own specifications. People also don't come here expecting to pay full GW prices. Stripping miniatures isn't especially difficult, but it's time consuming and frankly a bit of a pain in the ass. All you need to do it is Simple Green (a common cleaning product) or plastic-safe brake fluid. Let the models soak in it for a few days, then scrub them off with an old toothbrush. As for glue, that doesn't come off so readily. If you glued the models together with plastic glue, you'll never get them apart, as that actually melts the plastic together.

I've tried Simple Green before, but it never got off even a half of the paint. I tried scrubbing it bare, scrubbing it under running water and under still water, no dice.
Would brake fluid say it's plastic safe on the bottle?
Note- I've updated my list. If there's a way to strip the paint, I'd rather just keep my IG. The rest is for sale still.

Brake Fluid works great on plastics, but you're better off using Purple Power or Super Clean. And to make this post more on topic, what BR marines do you have?

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I have all the BR marines. The commander, 5 Terminators, 1 Dreadnought, and 10 Space Marines. The Tactical Squad's sergeant has a plasma pistol and one of them has a lascannon.
I'll get working on the pics for everything right now. I'll be sure to send you the ork pictures. Anything in particular or just everything?

I've got these Daleks but I'm not interested in Empire at all. Would you be willing to trade something else instead?

I'm sorry, everything I've got is posted at the top of the topic.
I do have quite a bit of random minis, ranging from old WHFB to Necromunda to OOP companies. I'm sure there's something in there for everyone. What would you like to see up for trade?
