I suppose this is as good as any place for my first post!

I took up gaming with the second edition of WH40K, somewhere in my early teens or perhaps a little before that. Several like minded children demanding blood for the blood god soon turned into a little gaming night run by some of our dedicated parents, good times were had and even a trip to the dreaded games day! Alas in the end interest died out when we all grew into our mid to late teens.

After having a little browse of the current GW and Forge world products a month or two back I was rather impressed at the quality of sculps that are being produced. Since then more browsing of the internet has taken place and I happened upon dakka where I’ve been lurking for several weeks and I’m blown away by some of the modelling coming out of so called ‘amateurs’, I remember when a couple of simple highlights won a golden demon!

Needless to say I’ve somewhat caught the bug again and I might be fetching my dusty army down from the loft.

Ah! I actually live in Dereham, although I work at the Uni. That's a very kind offer and I think I shall be taking you up on it at some point. I probably should have said that amongst the 30+ kids running marines I decided that my love of the underdog and tanks meant I was the sole Guard player! Also with more than a little affection for the Nids. Never played Fantasy although with the new edition I might well be up for that as well.

That's a bit spooky, I noticed the other day the Necro game rules are on PDF for free so I had a little read in my lunch time but wouldn't have thought there would be anyone interested in playing it within the area! Always loved the idea of skirmish fighting with the XP and personalisation that comes with it but never could get anyone else interested.

Disty - As I said you are more than welcome. I myself play Death Guard in 40k, with the other guys fielding World Eaters, IG,Eldar, Dark Eldar and SM (White Scars and Space Wolves) all between four of us

As with Necromunda, we have a campaign going on strong, and we all have two gangs each as we don't have that many players. PM me as and when and we can get something organised.
