Hey. new to the site, so i hope this is the right forum.
i want to use Heroic intervention in my tourny list. i also want to pair them with a Scout Bike squad to help them land accuratly. not sure if this is worth the points or worth trading out my land speeders. interested in opinions and options; especially from people who use or have used Heroic Interventions

Hi, welcome to Dakka.

Tactics Q's go in the Tactics forum, Rules questions go in YMDC. However, this being general, this post is alright there.
Right, now the hazing is done, to your post.

It depends on what army you are using. Nilla Vanguard are pretty poor for what they do, and you would be better off sticking to the Land Speeders.

Blood Angels ones on the other hand are pretty awesome, since they only scatter 1D6 and get to re-roll reserves, meaning they more than likely (75% chance IIRC) will come in turn 2, when your scout bikers might just still be alive!

It's a White Scar army based around troops/bikes with the Vanguard and a few speeders for support.

Then I suggest staying with the Land Speeders. For normal Marines, Vanguard are simply too sub-par to be worth it.

A well placed Heroic Intervention has changed the course of a lot of games.

I can't tell you what you should or shouldn't do, but I can tell you that, rather than blindly following advice from a forum, you should examine how the competing units would each fit into your army. Define what roles each would fill.

If you can post an example of what your typical FOC looks like, and your typical intended uses for each unit, you'll get some better answers.
