It’s that time again. Time for another 131 Auction/Bitz Swap. It all happens on Sunday, June 13th (that’s two weeks from this past Sunday), at Off the Wall Games in Hadley,
MA. The schedule will be as follows:
12 – 2 – Bitz Swap – Come in and buy/sell/trade bits!
2 – ? – Auction – Bid on lots of miniatures, books and materials. The auction will run until all lots have been auctioned at least once.
??? – Close – After the auction is over, it’s back to bit swapping until closing.
Now some details for the auction:
All items must be gaming-related, as determined by the Events Organizer (yours truly).
No dangerous, illegal or perishable (anything that “goes bad”) items are allowed. Examples include: hobby knives/saws, glue, paint, putty, firearms, worldeater virus torpedoes, counterfeit copyrighted materials, etc.
The minimum bid is set by the person submitting the lot to the auction. Note that minimum bids are binding. If you set the minimum bid for $1, your lot could very well sell for $1.
The EO will have the final say in the division of lots.
If you enter lots into the auction, you will receive store credit at Off the Wall Games in an amount equal to the final bid on the lot (note that this is a change from previous auctions). This store credit may be spent on Games Workshop and Privateer Press items
only. 131 members will still receive their member discount when spending this credit. And yes, Jadam can order items not in stock. You have one month to spend this store credit, after which point the credit expires.
You may pay for items won via the auction with either cash or debit cards.
All sales through the auction are final.
We also have an agreement form that must be filled out by anyone wishing to submit items into the auction. To do this, just contact me via
PM or e-mail, and I will get the form to you. Fill out the form, and bring the items you are submitting to the next 131 member meeting, or the day of the auction itself. Note, and this is very important,
if you do not arrive by 1:30 the day of the auction, you will not be able to submit any items into the auction. This will not affect any items submitted on previous days, but you will not be able to submit any further items.
As for the bits swap, well, that’s pretty straightforward. You’re responsible for your own haggling and dealing, so there are really no rules to govern it. Be sure to bring cash and bits aplenty for wheelin’ and dealin’!
It's always a great time, and you can find some super deals! If you have any questions or want to check out what's going to be available, here is the link
