Hey everybody, trying to sort this out as I just got the chance to read through the Tyranid codex's fluff section. I play Tau, so the part that appealed the most to me involved Hive Fleet Gorgon. The question I have from this fluff involves Castellan Crask and the Vorcah cadre. Crask was sent to support the Damocles crusade, which at this point has ended as the Imperium has redirected its efforts to stop the Tyranids. Crask joins forces with the Tau to stop the hive fleet. But it keeps saying that Crask can't wait to back-stab the Tau and that its another story to be told later. Is this some established fluff that shows up in some of the Imperial Armour books? I can't find any reference to Crask on these forums or in the IG codex which leads me to believe it will be a part of the new Tau codex. Any thoughts?

The Damocles Crusade was 300 years ago in the timeline.

The 3rd Phase Expansion came after that, so any Crask backstabbing clearly can't have been too effective.

GW can just rewrite stuff though, they've done it before.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

I like the Tau fluff also and after reading my friends Tyranid codex I noticed that too. I got the impression that the author just left that open-ended because he didn't want to get into too much detail about a Tau/Imperial fight in the Tyranid codex. I don't believe there is any more fluff to that battle although it is always possible that they revisit that scene in a later book.

I don't get the point of your post.
There is a Cadian mentioned in a Codex and you ask us if it is official, backed up by Forge World books?
Or is it surprising that a Cadian does not like fighting side by side with Tau?
Or are you just asking when the Damocles Crusade took place?

Sorry Kroothawk, was trying to discuss a rather large portion of Tau fluff in the Tyranid codex. It states three times that its a story to be told later, I'm asking where this story is or if it even exists yet.

To clarify, this is an event that takes place after the Damocles crusade, this guy just got lost. The Tau sept ends up chasing the remnants of the Gorgon Hive Fleet. I gave you the name of the Tau sept, the location of the fluff, and the IG counter part. According to the codex the last entry says 500903.M41 - if that helps place it in the established timeline.

I'm asking if its likely to lead to Tau fluff in a new Tau codex or if its something that is already covered (Forgeworld) and I just can't find any further references.
