After seeing some previous threads, I know this is a touchy subject on what happened.
This thread isn't to discuss what happened, how much you dislike the site - yadda yadda and such.
This is an independent project - started by wargamers
Just dropping a friendly info to other fans, or at least for fellow wargamers out there - helping out some others i found on the net.
There seems to be a new group pooling together on planning either an official or unofficial redux on the 40kRadio & Freeboota community.
They seem to know the flaws on what happened and have a brainstorm plan on bringing back another podcast officially or unofficially.

I would do 40k Radio, but I would be like Jason Ellis and probably get canned my first show.

I'd love to purchase the rights and take over. I even live in PA and could have all of those guys still be a big part of the show. Alas, I do not have the money or the recognition. :(

Hey all, this is Eldanesh from 40K Radio. It's been a little over a week now since Spencer announced the cancellation of the show and I think it's time to get some things straightened out. While I'd like to clear the air of all the misinformation and vitriol that's been spread on various blogs I'm not really at liberty to go into much detail about what's transpired due to the legalities of what happened. Rest assured I will make a more public announcement when I can.
However, I did want to let the community know that Spencer and I have been talking at length about the future of 40K Radio, where he wants to leave it and where it can go from here. One such possibility is that I may take up the reigns of the show in the future depending upon the arrangement. There have been other offers from former Freebooters and other Podcasts as well (you know who you are), and Spencer is weighing those options too. 40K Radio has grown into a very large enterprise over the last 3 years and it involves much more than producing a podcast every 2 weeks, so the process of transferring ownership is more than a bit complicated.
That said, 40K Radio without Spencer Harding will not ever be the same show. I'd like to think I would be most familiar personality on the show next to the former ones. I've hosted at least 6 fill-in pirate video editions on UStream when asked and we even did 2 hours of the now infamous 24 hour charity marathon here from Florida. However, I can't possibly fill Spencer's role, and anyone else entertaining the idea of stepping into it won't be able to either. IF 40K Radio continues, It's going to be a different show. Different hosts, different format, different dynamic. I'm sure in the next couple of weeks we'll know what direction it will take.
At some point I'm sure Spencer will make a public statement as to what the future of the show is. In the meantime, I'd like to express my personal gratitude to the D6 Generation for their recent on-air commentary regarding the particulars of the show's cancellation. It was well received. Once more issues have been resolved I plan to make my assessment of what happened public in time.
Special thanks goes to all the fans and supporters.

I (and Im sure others as well) really appreciate the info Eldanesh, and its good to know that either you or someone else from the community is definitely willing to step up and save 40k radio. Its obvious that things will change, but I really hope that whoever takes over keeps in mind what the former hosts had going and what made it so enjoyable to some people.
Honestly, big thanks for stepping up and giving us an update. Good to know that stuff is being taken care of.

I would only help to save it if you would stop with the smart guy antics and the clever quips that got you all the heat in the first place.
Its one thing to do a drunk dial jerkey boyz podcast with your buddies, its 100% different when your supposed to be doing a podcast with backers, and people behind the site advertising with you. Believe it or not, all of that garbage that transpired falls over onto other people, and when you all sit around, drinking and jacking about, you do us all as players and not to mention anyone having to do with your podcast a disservice with the drunk highschooler antics.
As to the other interwebs drama, I really am not discussing, because , quite frankly I don't care. I stopped listening to you after about the third or fourth podcast based on the actions of what I had to slog through and was less then impressed. I pop over there to hear a show or two, the next thing I here it sounds like a couple of highschool kids drinking and jacking around. Too big for your britches is a term that I can easily put to that kind of attitude, and seeing as people were laying down good money after that, I have yet to figure out why there was such an air of celebrety when all you were doing was messing your trousers.
I don't know or care about that silly grabbity grab when it comes to my gaming, and even if I like to drink like a fish, its one thing when I'm kicking back chasing skirt, its 110% somethign else if I was to do it when I am supposed to be putting on a semiprofessional podcast with advertisers and everything else but the greek salad.
I sympathise with the back door stuff that came about, I don't know what it has to do with 40K gaming, podcasting, or anything else, but I do know that that show had potential until you all started getting too sloppy on it. If and when you come back, which in the spirit of good will I hope you do, I hope that you come back on the air with a little more professionalism than I was shown as a listener. In the future, I hope you take a page out of D 6's book about how to do a podshow. Take that rock star attitude down a peg or two, and stay focused on talking to me about gaming, because that was what lost you a listener on my end.
In the future, I hope you well in your endevors, and hope that the show grows from the little setback and goes in a more productive direction. Good Luck to you and yours.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

Quoted for truth.
I stopped listening after two episodes and I couldn't even listen all the way through either one.

Errr......Unproductive posts much? I'm pretty sure Eldanesh there was posting that info for people that he knows are interested.
I mean I could wade into every gun thread in OT, and write a paragraph about how I don't care, but that would be a little pointless if you catch my meaning.
