Subject: Moving units with non-circular bases

Units may pivot time as they move and during the shooting phase to face the unit they shoot at.
How do you move your own, and allow others to move their own, non-circular units?
A) Gaining distance from pivoting
b) Not allowed to gain any distance from pivoting
All the applicable Rules:
THE MOVEMENT PHASE
In his turn, a player may move any of his units – all of
them if he wishes – up to their maximum movement
distance.
TURNING AND FACING
As you move the models in a unit, they can turn to
face in any direction, without affecting the distance
they are able to cover. Infantry models can also be
turned to face their targets in the Shooting phase, so
don’t worry about which way they are pointing at the
end of their Movement phase (although dramatically
facing off against their foes is traditional).
MEASURING DISTANCES
A model is considered to occupy the area of its base, so
when measuring distances between two models, use
the closest point of their bases as your reference points.
For models supplied without a base (like some large
vehicles) use the model’s hull or body instead.

Pretty much this.
The Answer is A btw.
I like the Highly Unbiased Poll and Diagrams though </sarcasm>.

Read the vehicle pivot thread where he was losing a debate only minutes before making this thread and poll. This is clearly a dodge looking for an answer he likes.

Often we have threads ongoing about smiilar topics or topics raised in a previous thread. However I believe this to be covered unfer the vehicle topic. Please refer there for commentary and discussion.
