Let say I was an IG player and decided to have an Inq. Lord (HQ) and Ret. and and reg. Inq. (Elite) and Ret. Both with 2 mystics.

If both were within sighting distance of a Deep strike could they both nominate the same unit for the free shots?

What if they were on board in squad of Three Vendettas. Could I have the squad shoot the 9 TL Las shots at the deep strike twice.

I have no plans to do this it is more of a thought experiment in how much of an a$$ I could be if I wanted to be.

Both squads can shoot. Note that you would have to roll distance for the first squad and then decide if they are shooting or not (because it says immediately) before rolling for the second squad. This would only be significant if you had danger close blast weapons or infantry mounted plasma.
