Sorry if my question seems dumb, but am I right to think you can use this formation with motojets

What is a motojet? A jetbike?

Yes, jetbikes are a type of bike (although I've seen that argued here).

Strictly Speaking, a Jetbike is NOT the same as a Bike. If it just says bikes, then Jetbikes technically cannot be taken.

BTW, can I get a link to the Spearhead malarky? Not been bothered looking for it in all honesty! xD

It does say skimmers and bikes in the spearhead box but the description says skimmers, bikes and jetbikes.

Also, with jetbikes being a sub-box on the bikes page rather than a separate entry I'd be tempted to argue that jetbikes are a subclass of bikes.... but more likely that it's a (lack of) editing screw-up.

PM me your email address and I'll email you the spearhead formations.

Sorry, motojet is the french for jetbike.

So, Scott-S6 says yes, Gwar! says no...

Any other opinion?

I would assume that jetbikes can be used if normal bikes can.
As i would call jetbike a sub-form of bike. (like jetpack is a sub-form of jump infantry.)

The whole "is a jetbike a subclass of bike" is a very tricky point and comes down to how you interpret the page layout.

Regardless of that, the description specifically says "skimmers, bikes and jetbikes" while the spearhead box says "skimmers and bikes". From that I would infer that either they figured bikes covered jetbikes as well or it was a mistake and they left jetbikes out accidentally.

Remember that the SW fact classified Jetbikes as Bikes for the purpose of JAWS.

So there is a precedence for claiming saying Jetbikes are bikes

They do seem to be backing that up here (consistency {gasp})

I would suggest, given that this is a subset of the rules, you treat it like an Apocalypse game. Just talk to your opponent prior to playing and clarify.

I would allow jetbikes to be in this rule set, as clearly that is the intent.
