Im in Calvert County MD just looking for a gaming community or maybe a few games. Anyone else out here?

You could try and check out "Comics MD" in Accokeek, I see they sell GW products. There is also "Big Larry's comic book cafe" in Leonardtown. I know they have folks that play Warmachine, but might be able to find some GW oriented folks there.

Yea i visit comics MD from time to time, little bit of a drive for me though, and big Larry's shop just opened and has no citadel atm.

I knew a few gamers down in that area, but I haven't heard from them in years... I'm up an Annapolis, and there're a fair number of folks centered around the Annapolis GW store, but that's still a bit of a drive.

Does St. Mary's College have a gaming group?

I haven't heard that, Samus_aran115. I was just in there on Monday and everything seemed normal (talking about 8th edition fantasy with the staff while they were restocking the store...). Where did you hear that?

A couple of my friends were trying to scare me then. My friend Ben brought it up when he was talking about how the Headquarters was moving to memphis,which was equally disappointing...

It does seem unlikely,considering that store gets loads of "newb" customers,being in a mall. That's really the only shop in the whole DC area,except maybe glen burnie (which is closing..:( ). I see no real reason to close it....

GW's been looking to close the mall locations, from what I've heard, because of the cost, space, and lease terms about manning and hours they're open. But that doesn't mean they're closing anytime soon. All depends on the length of the lease they have with the Malls.

I'd expect to see Arundel Mills close eventually... Sucks since I can hit Arundel Mills at lunch!

Well, it's staying open for now, at least. And the HQ is moving to Memphis, but not the Bunker- it's staying in the area, although probably moving a little bit south to serve Baltimore and D.C.

Okay,awesome. I've already gone to HQ,so I really don't need to see it again. What a relief that the BB is staying. If they move it south,all mt dreams will come true! Only time will tell.

Any idea how far south? Being north of the tunnels, the BB at Glen Burnie is already reaching my driving time limit for a game.... any further and I'll have to find yet another place to play.

They've mentioned Laurel, but it seems like it's really going to depend on rent. If they can help it, they don't want to move before Games Day, since where they're at now is so much closer. So probably in the early fall they'll be moving... I'll definitely post up if/when I hear where! A lot of people are keeping their eye on it, so you'll definitely hear on here once something is known about the new location (even they don't know where they're going exactly, at the moment).

Hopefully the better part of laurel. Route 1 is a disaster unless you know the back roads. Maybe I'll ask somebody at Arundel mills where they'd like to move it,and see if I can sniff out any rumours.

I swear though,the staff are usually clueless there. I asked about what happened about Inquisition models and the guy had no idea what to say except "we should get a stock soon"

[THIS IS A small RANT]I was playing on the Assault on Black reach board they have set up in the front,and some guy yelled at me because that's for "people who might get into the hobby". I had just bought 140$ worth of stuff,and they won't let me play a tiny little game like that? This was on a Tuesday,and the store was empty. Really? *facepalms

Well, Laurel kills it for me - like I said, Glen Burnie is about as far as I'm willing to travel for a game, unless I'm meeting a buddy halfway. That sucks.
