Started the real meat and potato work for my homebrew Chapter today. They'll be played as a combination Deathwing/Ravenwing force with Scout and Dreadnought support alongside. Chapter is entitled "Order of the Grey Blade" and will be using as its color scheme(with cloth bits done in red, helms done in the same shade of green as the shoulderpads):


This model is, as it stands, the counts-as Belial, or "Uriel, <Insert Title Here> of the <Insert Deathwing Organization Name Here>, of the Order of the Grey Blade".



Tomorrow or Friday, once the camera recharges fully I'll get photos of the first unit's Sergeant(title to be adjusted later to be more "knightly") who is pretty much finished right now.

In the meantime, ideas and thoughts for the title of the Deathwing/Ravenwing organizations and their respective Masters would be very much loved.

So far, I'm thinking for the Deathwing:
Seneschal as the Master and the organization itself being called "Paladins"
with the Ravenwing being:
Cavalier as the Master and the organization itself being called "Knights"

Too cheesy? Toss in your take on it here!

Honestly they both sound like fairly good options, but I think I would go with the Ravenwing option if it were me.

Are you meaning just call them "Ravenwing"?

Because I've got the two separate branches who are each going to be getting their own names, and even the Scouts are going to have a unique title(Huntsmen) for their units.

Oh, lol I guess I didn't read it right the first time round, yeah the titles for them would work great for them. Deathwing as Paladins, Ravenwing as knights, ect.

I'm am liking the look of the first model, the guy with the hooded head and sniper-rifle, its a little hard to see with the picture.

Although unfinished the paint-scheme looks a bit drab. Might just be the pictures (or might just be me)

Yeah, the paint scheme is a bit drab as it stands. Need to spice up the black/gray of the armor a bit more with weathering--but that will have to wait until all the detail work is done.

I thought about doing more highlighting along the edges, but looking at ceramic plating--you just never see anything that extreme in terms of highlighting.
