does a medic in a imprial guard company command squad have any weapons?
if so can you upgrade him with a flamer, grenade launcher or something?

He has a Lasgun.

The codex is VERY clear about whether you can upgrade him or not.

Page 90. Note how all the options after the medic state "Other veteran" or veterans that "have not been upgraded".

The codex is VERY clear about whether you can upgrade him or not.
