This is not for tournaments or anything because I can't use it for tournaments. I had an idea, my friends said post it here you guys are more familiar with the rules of wargear and point costs.
I'm making a homemade army lists for some fun. i want it fair point wise though. I'm looking for opinions on points. Here's some troop choices pnt wise tell me what you think. Thanks. (This is an army that does not exist, the units, troops and upgrades I am creating completely for my own home use i just want to make sure they are fair against real 40k armies. Pointwise and so forth. (Not ocunting how unfair some rules for some units can be. *cough* space marines *cough* But some of those things make the game interesting, I'm just taking my creativity a step further and looking for real feedback. Appreciate all the help i can get on making this army work.)

1st troop choice
RAIDERS 12pts a model, (5-10 a unit.)
WS4 BS2 S4 T4 W2 I3 A2 LD7 SV-
RULES Furious Charge
WARGEAR Draw Pistol R12" s4 ap6 pistol
Quick blade(CCW)
UPGRADES Heavy blade-1 to opponents armor save when you charge. (In regards to the carrying models attacks, not for units who don't take saving throws against it.) +5pts a model (Any model can replace the quick blade for this.)
-may replace one model per unit for a Claimer(dfrnt Unt) +25pts
-Any model may take chain shielding for a +5sv (+5pts a model)
-One model per unit can swap the heavy blade and draw pistol for a POWER AXE, it confers a +2 str and acts as a power
weapon. +15pts.
-A unit may take a LANDER for +20pts. Giving that unit the 'Deep Strike Special Rule.' The lander model will be positioned one inch from any unit or terrain where the unit lands and counts as dangerous terrain. The unit itself will take all Deep Strike tests as normal. Except if the unit rolls a one on the Deep Strike Mishap table, the lander scatters 2d6 from the boards center landing as a missile would with 'S8 AP2 blast' stats and is removed from the game.
Claimer upgrade Unit (25pnts.)
WS 5 BS 3 S 4 T 4 W 2 I 4 A 3 LD 9 SV 4+
RULES Furious Charge
WARGEAR Draw Pistol, quick blade(CW) Steel Shielding
UPGRADES --May replace the draw pistol for an Energon Pistol (acts as a plasma pistol in all aspects.) for+10pts.
-May replace quick blade for an Energon Blade(CW, Power Weapon.) for+10pts. -
- May take a Parthos banner, (+1 BS to his entire unit.) for+10pts.
-May upgrade Steel shielding to Guardian Armor +3sv. for+10pts
(The fully upgraded CLM would cost 75 points and has to be with that troop choice.
A full manned, fully upgraded troop with CLM costs 308. If I give all the upgrades. Is that fair pointwise?)
After remarks will post second troop choice and first HQ choice. Let me know what you think and thank you.
(As you may have noticed I upgrade the final idea with each comment so thank you for your advice it helps me brainstorm immensely. )

“We are the ones you left for dead. The ones you left in the ground. Buried and forgotten, we have tunneled our ways to the stars, and there will be no dirt nor cave where you can hide. The Dwellar are here.”
Dwellar Codex; 40k Dwarfs

“Well, what do you carry the gun for if you’re just going to waste bullets?” Timer reloads his Boomer as Forling fires his Shrapper.
“I may ‘ne be a good shot Timer, but I don’t miss much from this close up with my hammer,” Forling continues to fire.
“All the enemies are good and far away so what the hell does that…” Timer looks up to see Forling giving him an angry stare. “Oh, yea, ok, um, good shooting.”

This is really not the forum for this, I would suggest snagging one of the datasheets you can get for Apoc to show these a little more easily than the current form or at least separate it using bolds and italics.

It is difficult to judge if this unit is 'fair' without seeing the whole army listed in general.

Please keep all updates for your proposed army in the first thread you started on the subject.

Thanks.

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!
