Ran into this problem earlier today in a game, we just said that it can't go in the buiding. But whats the real rule? Also can a model go on a building floor they can't fit on? Thanks, Rod!

You talking Buildings, or Ruins?

Ruins have rules for models that dont actually fit on a floor theyre supposed to be on.. buildings just act like immobile transports.

Going with the word 'Ruin' in place of 'building'...

I don't think there is one, beyond the normal rules on model placement. Although the 'wobbly model' rule would allow you to potentially put it as far as possible into the ruin and call it a good'un.

I would go with not being able to enter, for simplicity's sake.

Also can a model go on a building floor they can't fit on?

Nope. That one's covered in the Ruins rules. They can only move onto upper floors if they physically fit.

Just to add a little something here: as far as buildings go If you have modeled a Building with a particularly tiny Access point(i.e. one that is barely big enough to fit a normal infantry base or smaller) You can still enter(read embark) with a Terminator or similarly large infantry model without a problem.

The rules allow for building embarkation/disembarkation but do not limit that to models that would be able to physically fit through the access point.

An example of this would be if you had a building with a Half-inch hatch or tunnel as an access point the rules assume your dudes can crawl through it(assuming your unit can get entirely within 2" of the access point)

Edit: Just thought of another point to make; If you were to build a small(tiny really) pillbox that is only about the size of 3 regular infantry models in surface area, and about as tall as a grot, but then when placed as terrain you and your opponent agree that it can fit 10 models(or more) you can embark 5 Terminators in it without a problem(Only 5 because termies count as 2 models). You could just claim that the bunker has an underground tunnel/goes directly into a basement sort of room, and the above-ground portion is just for access/observation/firepoints.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.
