My local GW is currently running an LotR SBG campaign every Thursday night. Good players either bring the original fellowship or make their own fellowship (more later) and each week try to complete 15 different scenarios sequentially starting with Balin's Tomb as scenario 1. If they succeed, they get to move onto the next scenario, and their fellowship attempts to recover might/will/fate/wounds. If they lose, they have to replay the scenario. Evil players just bring their evil armies, tailor it against any random Good player for their scenario (example: In scenario 1 "Balin's Tomb", the Evil player can bring maximum 260 points against the fellowship, but in Scenario 9 "Theoden Rides Out" they get to bring in 1100 points) and just generally try to kill the fellowship.
Anywho, I started off today as an Evil player with my Goblins, but after seeing a few of the fellowships, I was kind of inspired to make my own Fantasy Fellowship for this campaign. The rules for FF's are that they have to include Frodo and Sam and up to 600 points of Third Age heroes.
I decided that a "United Nations" approach would look pretty cool, so here's what I'm tentatively making my FF as...
Edit: Final Roster
1) Frodo
2) Sam
3) Elf Captain - Heavy Armour, Shield (80)
4) Elf Captain - Heavy Armour (75)
5) Elf Captain - Heavy Armour, Bow (80)
6) Wood Elf Captain - Bow (70)
7) Captain of Gondor - Heavy Armour, Shield (55)
8) Captain of Rohan - Heavy Armour, Shield (55)
9) Captain of Anor - Shield (55)
10) Dwarf Captain - Shield, Throwing Axes (70)
11) Dwarf Captain (60)
So what about you? What would your Fantasy Fellowship look like with those rules?
