Hi Welcome.
It is possible to strip the paint off and there is advice here if you search, but if the original paint job was not too thick I'd just paint over them.

Strip them with Simple Green and a Toothbrush. You'll need to let them soak for a day or two though- plastic doesn't like to let go of the paint.

If you didn't prime them, it'll come off easier, though I hope you -did- prime them, as that's a necessary step of the painting process.

As your in the UK getting simple green could be difficult and probably expensive. I reccomend getting hold of a couple of bottles of fairy power spray (the green stuff) from a supermarket instead. Just spray it on, put them in a sealed contained and clean the paint off with an old tooth brush, a few days later.

p.s. Welcome to Dakka.

Just prime the army black again, if the paint isn't to thick.

Join the Imperial Guard. The pay's lousy, the battles fierce and you probably won't ever come back again. BUT you get a lasgun.

I've just stripped my Blood Ravens, did so with Brake Fluid... left in for three days.

Not sure if I'd recommend it though, although there was no plastic damage, a lot of the paint still stayed on (it was incredibly thick)... I never totally recovered many models and I'm having to Green Stuff 'em up in robes now.
