If Earth was a planet being watch by a imperial space station with cloaking(ie so we couldn't see it). The planetary governor subsects us of heresy(ie all of the religions), but the only thing close to the station is a small size sister of battle shrike force to get rid of the religions. The planetary governor wants to get at least 1 million of earths people a live to make imperial guard, so no super nukes. But when when the sisters landed they found themselves surrounded by local forces. What will you think will happed in this sernio.

Woah... the grammar and horrific spelling in that paragraph makes my brain hurt. Mind at least running a spell check next time...? If I'm getting this right, you're giving us the following situation:
1: Some sort of cloaked Imperial space station above our planet.
2: The assigned planetary governor suspects us of heresy.
3: The governor has a Sisters of Battle strike force
4: The governor wants to replace the local religions with the Imperial Creed.
5: The governor needs at least one million people to live.
Okay, so... what? Are you asking how the Sisters would deploy...? How the Sisters would go about this? Whether or not they'd start off peacefully?
|
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

uh...well, there would be no reason to start off violently. I'm assuming Sisters wouldn't even be called in until after the Ecchlesiarchy (the non-militant types) made a trip to the surface to try and convert us...
did I answer the question?

if they are leaving us alone for whatever reason it probably one that doesn't care what we do.
prehaps all those "UFO" abductions we have are really SM recruiting mission as they are leaving us to develop on our own as a feudal world.
if that wasn't the case there would be conversion expeditions, if they weren't recieved positively then an IG army would follow and they would simply pick on each nation one at a time untill everyone capitulated.
SMs would probably show up due to our decently advanced Tech and would preform assassination strikes on world leaders and we would fall.

How can there be a planetary governor if he isn't, you know, governing the planet.
A more pertinent question is:
A galaxy spanning human empire rocks up with super advanced 8 foot tall supermen warriors in powered armour and demand that we rejoin the empire.
What do?

he said "Governor Subsector"
Governors often rule multiple planets.
there are Planatery Governors, System Governors(all planets orbiting a single star), Subsector Governors(multiple nearby star systems)

Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

To answer the first question: Sister land, are surrounded by some multi-national military, The army sniper core and marines kick the ever living gak out of them, and then we either get pacified or someone lands to convince us we are part of this Empire, and sorry about all the space nuns...
My two cents on the subject as a whole... Never happen, we would be pulled into the fold peacefully, they would want our tech and how we came up with it.
As far as the SM being behind the UFOs that have been abduct all these people.. riddle me this: Whats the point of abducting old women and red-necks for their gene-seed? Why not abduct Marines, Navy Personnel, Army Rangers, GS-G9, SAS, SEALS, GIGN, KJB(or what they are now), doctors, physicist, genetic researchers, World Leaders, Olympic Medalists, Football players... need I go on??
As far as Waaagh_Gonads: "Of course.. where do we sign??"

Sacrifice to the Dark Gods

I can't remember which version rule book I read it in (may even be Rogue Trader) but in the section where they described the different planets they described paradise planets that would be use for retreats for important officials.
I know its not in the current edition rule book so may not count any more but it seems reasonable to believe that any planet in such a good state as this one would be preserved (So no use of nukes I'm afraid!).
I think they would deport almost all 6 billion of us to fight some Ork or Tyranid invasion (A million isn't a large number of troops the way the Imperial Guard go through them). As for wanting our tech anything more advanced than theirs would be seen as heresy.

I laud your analytical Skills, you are doing the Ordo Dialogus proud :-D Just one thing: SUSPECT heresy? Feth, we are a bunch of premium Heretics on all levels. A puritanical Inquisitor would die from Stroke just from scanning our TV Broadcasts, and THEN his replacement would bomb us into the stone age....

Considering the type of people who are normally "abducted" that would be the weirdest and most bizarre SM Chapter ever... The "Howling Rednecks" maybe or the "Moonshine Yokels" Hmm..now that I think of that, maybe we found the two lost Legions? I would definatly play them, yeeehaw!

Weeeelll... if the Administratum in its infinitive wisdom just appoints a Governor, then he is the Governor...period. That he most probably need a Guard Taskforce to actually start ruling is of no real concern here.
And I guess we know what will happen: People start shooting at the Supermen, get their behinds handed to them, then bomb them to bits with artillery, Airstrikes and Cruise Missles (nuking their landing site if neccessary). THEN their reinforcements will show up and hack the worlds militaries into pieces. Yanks, Ivans, Chinese or Pakistanis will overreact and start nuking everything in sight and in the end they will extract their tithe from the survivors and let the rest freeze our asses off in the nuclear winter, calling us silly nutcases.

Seriously? I very much doubt it. First: Our side wouldn't simply submit to them (especially not the religious folks, and no, not only the Muslims would stir up a big pot of riot) and secondly, all the tech we have, the Imperium has as well and mostly better stuff. They just don't use it always. Plus: They are certainly NOT interested in our Boffins... tech-heretics the lot of them, thinking outside the box maybe and questioning everything. They would be third up the pyre, right after the lawyers and priests.

The violators of the Emperor's law must be punished… how dare they question His will, His judgement… if their deeds go unchecked then chaos will surely rein… I have no choice but to sentence the offenders to death, effective immediately and without appeal… you have your orders gentlemen, may the Emperor's blessing go with you. |
