Ok so in england its been quite warm recently,, soo i went to the fridge for a glass of Pepsi.I suddenley thought filling a chimera full of fuel and slap a demo charge on it! It looks better in my head, but it just screams awesome at me

So tell me your opinion and your ideas for a new guard unit.

The insanity, it cometh. I agree, I want suicide units. Just like how I want to be able to shoot into close combat (just reduce the shooter's BS to 3 if it is better, then if they miss, resolve the shots on their own troops and have the shooters take a moral check at -.5 for every wound inflicted, rounding down).

Nope I means 'SPLOSION TANK,, the tank would be of no more use the imperium of course ,,so they fill it with flammable stuff ,bless it in the name of the emperor and get a servitor to roll it in the direction of the xenos!!
I happen to have a useless chimera lying around so after ive typed this I shall start!

Hate to rain on your parade, but a chimera, like all machines is sacred.

It has it's own Machine Spirit, an extension of the Machine God. If you blow one up, you'll have to answer to the Mechanicum. And by 'answer to' I mean they'll come and cut your head off.

While that's true to a certain extent, what about the Cyclops? It's basically a Demo Charge on Track, so wouldn't the Mechanicum be angry about that?

Don't capitalize every word in your post - it's kind of annoying to read that way.

As for explosive collars, I think it could be implemented whenever a penal legionnaire dies. Any models in base contact take a strength 2 hit. I figure they wouldn't have something as high yield as a frag grenade attached to their necks, just something to kill them instantly if they ever disobeyed orders.

I'd like to see a landiang craft like the Gorgon apart from it flies and carries more than a valkyrie that could foreit transport for bombs what do you guys think?

My problem with ideas like this apart from the fluff that has been pointed out and the very non-PC nature of the concept is that the model acctually takes up a good deal of the blast template by itself. This wastes a bunch of it's potential.

it should be a fast vehicle with a more controlled version of the ork kareen! rule(i.e. 3d6 in a direction of your choice).
