Alright, i searched for 10 minutes or so to try and see if these questions had been answered, and checked FAQs on GW's site, but no joy so far:
Firstly, does a unit that has been Tank Shocked by a deff rolla take hits if they choose the "get out of the way" option as opposed to "death or glory?" We treated it as yes yesterday because it says d6 normally, 2d6 with a death-or-glory.
1b)What if the unit runs away(fails the test)
Secondly, are wounds from the deff rolla saveable with normal armor saves? it says nothing in the codex on this subject at all, nor in the FAQs, so we treated it as normal saves, but s10 that doesn't AP seems weird as hell to me.
thanks in advance.

Yes, you get D6 hits if you get out the way, 2D6 if you DoG - regardless of how successful the DoG is.
If you fail the test you have STILL been tankshocked (its why you took the test) so you get 1D6 hits.
In otherwords you get at least 1D6 hits, no matter what you do.
It allows armour saves, as nothing states it ignores then. Tankhammers are the same - S10 iun combat, allows saves.

1) Yes, they take the hits, and take 2D6 if they DoG. 1b) Yes. 2) Yes. Just remember though it is NOT AP -, it just has no AP, so it doesn't have a -1 on the Vehicle Damage Table.

Not as weird as the S10 AP4 of the Manticore!
For Some Reason this Apocalyptic Barrage of Doom cant even get through power armour!

It's meant more so as a fish fryer for the Fire Warriors.

Well you have to look at what thats meaning in game terms. Yes its incredibly powerful, and kills anything that fails the save (durp) but it allows armor saves, showing that the guys that save, jumped out of the way, while the others werent so lucky. Also dont forget that the FAQ says you CAN use the deff rolla against armor. So dont let people say you cant ram their LR and blow them apart. Im still waiting for GW to at least respond with "oh yes we viewed your petition, thanks for caring about the hobby" But I wont hold my breath lol

Theoretically wearing heavy armor could make it so that the Deff Rolla only pushes you into the ground rather than smushing you. If the ground was soft, or the Deff Rolla was raised a decent amount.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it. |
