Hey all, I'm making rounds of my favorite hobby forums, registering and introducing myself!

My name is Alex, I'm a 24 year old biology student focusing on raptors, and I live in Southern California. I've been painting/messing around with GW and other minis since I was about 12, quitting and then coming back a few times.

I've recently decided that I need more creative outlets, and I've always loved miniatures so... I RETURN! Reborn, built with inferior yet affordable technology!

I don't plan on playing any games (though who knows?), rather I want to sharpen my sculpting and painting skills to the point where I can sell my work to make some extra dough and pay for future hobby work. It's a long road, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?

I'm particularly interested in demons, dragons, and a bit of the old ultraviolence; but I will not limit myself to those things. I have a few conversions/minis in progress but all of them remain unpainted. I'm dreadfully scared of making mistakes and having them look crappy, but I keep trying to remind myself that I'm not going to be a master overnight and that it's okay to mess up as I will undoubtedly learn in the process.

When I was a kid the plethora of online communities devoted to minis didn't really exist, and if it did I was way too busy looking at porn to see it. It is with great pleasure that I say HELLO, and look forward to asking questions and participating in discussions.
