So. Competitive tournament army with 6 pd, 4 dd, 1 dispell scroll on one wizard?

No chariots, a metric ton of trolls, and while Throgg is cool...he's not that cool.

Your battle line is pivotable.

Your knights have a standard?

Your fast cav doesn't have a musician?

This list simply won't have any sort of competitive edge against the top tier lists that you can play against in the final 2 rounds of a tournament.

How do you intend to handle:
6 lance Brettonian armies?
All Chariot Tomb Kings armies?
Vampire counts speed bump armies?
Daemons?
Skaven SADs?
Either of the competitive elf standard builds?

That's more than half the field what will wreck you with solid play. This list needs a ton of tweaking to deal with at least 50% of the above list in order to be competitive.

Well, To be honest, NO ONE and I am willing to be money on this, will be playing tomb Kings, and what would you suggest, if I remove the trolls and the knight standard and give me fast cav a music. I am going to assume add a wizard or 2..and maybe a unit of puppies?

Oddly enough I had started working on this one and let myself get distracted with the newest Treme ...

FWIW I like the first list better, as Throgg & crew are more interesting than yet another unit of knights. I suppose the other list is 'better' but it's also pretty boring. And anyway, were you going for cut-throat competitive? I guess 'tournament' infers that, though some of us go for the fun and mayhem of tournies too

Here's my shot at #1:

Sorc Lord > The man needs his puppet, and he also nabbed a lot more armor / ward in the process. Roar ftw too, man that thing is beautiful.

Throgg > Score!

Warriors > I think these are huge overkill, and I also don't think you need the halberds but I figure maybe it's a modeling thing. There's no way you need rapturous on them, you're pretty boned if they aren't winning! Though maybe it was for holding a flank charge or something? Let's try to avoid that, eh? Also champs are cheap and pretty decent at this size, and 'full command' rolls off the tongue so well.

Horsemen > Yep, musician is a good idea. Light armor too but no points.

Warhounds > Moar puppies! For all those frenzy dudes, as well as puppy duties.

Trolls > Check, trollstar needs trolls.

Knights > Raging nurgle knights are a cheap trick IMO, avoid the comp hit and flat out go kr0n with some controllable backup.

So no, not huge changes. List has potential with some serious heavy hitters, though the hard part will be convincing anybody to tango with either uber block or the trollstar ...

Nice . It's works almost like the bat symbol!! Did you mean to leave one of the units of knights as nurgle? I'm betting they're all supposed to be mark of khorne.

I like it, but my only problem with it is- aren't you going to be sort of walking to the enemy with a large part of your force? When I briefly played lizardmen, this seemed to be a huge problem with saurus- what if the enemy doesn't want to play? But as far as a hammer and anvil, it looks like you've got both pretty well nailed down . I'd also wonder what in this list could handle big, nasty characters (I'm assuming the knights?)

Also, major bonus points for going mono-god except for the sorcerer, but I suppose that can't be helped...

Boss, thanks for all the advice ill pop it into AB tonight and see what i looks like. I am personally, going there to do my best as it is my first Warhammer Fantasy Tourney. Cut throat is how i try and play all my tourneys...since i am paying money to get in. But with that being said I know for sure that we have a DE player who has made it to the 'ard boys with CHItown a few times....
