Subject: Space Marines out of proportion STILL?

Hey guys, I've been thinking about this and discussing it with my brother for a while now.
Have you ever noticed how in books and games the Space marines are 7ft tall meatheads?
And yet even after 10 years or so of the current spess marien models they're little more than men in suits of armour? Have you ever wished/wondered if GW will ever slowly release them as their true proportion should be in models or a mass release of new space marine models (infantry obviously lulz)
I know this would upset those who have 100's of SM's already but..

Real reason? cases. Making all marines more like the scale they shoudl be moves them away from 28mm mini, meaning new foam, etc...
Plus if you hadnt noticed they are also "heroic", not "true" scale - overexagerated faces, for example. Replicating this at 33mm (to make them roughly 7') would make them EVEN wider at the shoulders, etc. Or they would have to move to true scale, which would be a radical departure.
If you scale up marines you also need to scale up terminators (who should be another 1' tall, roughly) and everything else....making rhinos and landraiders look even more rediculously small in comparison..and so on!

The so-called "true size" of space marines goes up all the time thanks to players talking about it.

Well the last lot of books I read gave some indications - souldrinkers, thousand suns ( i think) all put them at around high 6", low 7" tall - they are taller than normal human range but not outlandishly so. The armour adds a couple inches on, 6" more for terminator armour.

People on the internet used to call them 7 feet tall, now I sometimes see 9 feet though 8 feet is more common.
That change is over the course of about six years.

9 feet? Thats insane. Even two hearts would struggle at that height!
I think a lot of people think in "normal" proportions, so when reading about the sheer bulk (width and depth) of a marine they maybe scale them up so that bulk looks more like people they are used to - instead of keeping them as very oddly proportioned creatures.

PA SMs are 7 ft tall.
terminator armour adds another 1.5-2 ft.
i would say the Terminators are the right size for a PA space marine.
and all vehicles are at least 25% smaller then they should be. warhound titan minies are 6" shorter then they are supposed to be. in fluff they are 80 feet tall, be the model they are 60 feet tall.
