Heyo, I've bought the AOBR set and plan on converting the marines to join my space wolf army. Unfortunately as you likely know the marines in the AOBR have the raised arrow on their shoulder pads. I'm very new to the hobby, and after a rough time filing some stuff off of the dreadnaught, i was wondering if any of you had tips for a good filing job. Any help is appreciated

Thanks in advance,
Scynthe

I find it easier to slice off what I can first with an exacto... then file.

Also, once you get the big pieces out of the way, scrape with the flat side of the exacto blade (like a 90degree angel). Maybe this is common sense to some folks, but it took me 15 years to figure it out lol... makes a huge difference.

The main trick with filing on a curved surface is not to put flats on. Use a flat file with a rocking motion, drawing it across the surface, towards the file handle. Do not put the file on the surface then try to move it back and forth (that's for filing flat surfaces). Don't press too hard - less pressure gives you more control. Take your time and be patient, it'll take a while. It'll also make a mess - use an old toothbrush to brush away swarf and filings.
