So i am thinking about making a speed freak army, but i don't know much about orks. But i do know that I just got a stompa so i need to start planning out this army. Can someone post some basic lists so i can see how they are supposed to work and what not. I know a squad of bikes, trucks with boys, battle wagons, killa kans?, death dreads?, deftkopta? how many squads of bikes?

It's really more up to you. Anything fast fits in a Speed Freeks army. Trukks, Battlewagons, Bikes, Buggies, Deffkoptas, Looted Wagons... if it can carry an Ork, an Ork will ride into battle on it.

The numbers are really up to you, but Battlewagons with Deff Rollas have proven to be quite effective, especially when screened with a cheap unit like War Buggies, or with with a KFF mech inside to give them a cover save.

Now back to figuring out my own Speed Freeks list!

Started wargaming with heroscape. Who says kids can't be generals?

Space Marines 2-1-0

In Soviet Russia.... you go to Gulag.

Speed Freaks can be anywhere from a fluffy, noncompetitive army to a real powerhouse, depending on what you add.

The competitive lists revolve around Battlewagons as discussed by Pvt. Jet and often include 2-3 at the 1500-2000 point list.

Trukks are fine, but should not be the main focus of the army.

Make sure all units have the Nob with Bosspole and Powerklaw upgrade.

KFF Big Mek is vital.

Solo Deffkoptas with TL Rokkits and Buzzsaws to harass enemy tanks.

After that, the list is all up to what you want to do.

It depends whether you want to model it for fun and decent list to battle with, or be competitive and win loads of game.

If its for fun, just take trukks, battlewagons, looted wagons, bikes, buggies/trakks, deffkoptas, stormboyz and paint all of 'em red.

If its for competitive purposes, then you can't mix all of them together. Either go for mass trukks, mass battlewagons, with support from buggies/trakks or deffkoptas. Biker Nobz is ok too if you want to field a tough and expensive unit.
