My friend has some marines that we THINK are 2nd or 3rd edition metal marines but some are missing arms and as he got them off ebay there is only one second edition arm which goes with a sargeant wtih powerfist and the rest of the spare arms are 5th edition so how collectable are these:

sargeant with powerfist and 2nd edition bolter
a normal marine with a bayonet
3 normal marines
a beaky marnine missing arms
a marine missing arms
and thats all i can remember ill find out more tomorrow

The 2 questions are:
1 how rare is each model?
2 how much could you sell them for?

Thanks

I apologise to anyone who interacted with me around 2009-2012.

Somewhere in south-central England.

Pictures would be useful.

Maybe you could give the eBay auction URL.

Incomplete models aren't usually worth much because of the difficulty of finding the missing original parts.

How much could you sell them for?

Depends. How much did you buy them for?

OOP models in good condition, not necessarily painted or stripped, can go for about the same as modern retail, but it depends on rarity and collectability.

For instance, Squats usually sell pretty well as there are lots of people making Squat armies. SMs may not do so well because there are plenty of modern SM figures to substitute.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Columbus, Oh

there are only about 3 "rare" older SM models, and most of those are "event specials".. the line troopers with detachable plastic arms are not in that group, alas.

Most of those collector SM are all metal, frequently multipart and would not have the flat areas for gluing the plastic arms to.

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.
