i know elfs are mean, im currently running a 500 point list with:

38 warriors - spears
11 warriors - bows

Suladan on horse

5 raiders - horse - war spears

5 harashin

----

i am wondering what i should do to deal with harder foes, i can handle goblins ok, but when it gets to armor 6+, im having trouble.

Im just seeing what the community says

My experience is limited to WotR. But I would suggest heroes.

Does Harad have anybody with a similar skill set to Lurtz.

In WotR he can boost Fight to 10 and str to 8 for 2 Might.

Maybe recruit some Mordor Uruk-Hai?

Bam, said the lady!

I wish, the alliances are different in LoTR, Mordor isn't an Allie in regular LoTR, i think there is a little book expansion that hammers them out more

Ive seen those harad bowmen do some disgusting things with the poison arrows, combined with the Betrayer Nazgul. You get to re-roll failed wounds on 1's and 2's.

That does work nicely, we were playing a 6000 point game (3 vs 3) i volleyed Gandolph the white and Sauron off the table because of the betrayer.

I like task masters and harashin, i wish my warriors could have shields sometimes, lol.

My friend at games-workshop said i should outnumber heavy armor 5 to 1, but then i get shot to gak while trying to footslog across the table.

For the skirmish game only:

Arbalesters are pretty nasty, i like to make a wall with 10 arbalesters and keep my whole force behind it, as the enemy is slogging it across the table the crossbows can take out any heavy units or lots of little units whilst arrows bounce off their def 6 shields. By the time they reach you, you can easily swarm em.

Serpent riders with suladan are pretty good at taking out heavily shielded units (war spears, both spear and lance thank you very much).

If you need anti-spirit models go for a watchers of karna led by hasharin preferably 2.

However if brute force is more your thing go for half trolls, just keep them covered and in range of a hero!

(P.S; never forget the humble chieftain to give units a helping hand).
