Chaso list wasnt 2k, not even close, I added it up to only 1600......so unless he had a mysterious 400 points of upgrades you didnt list, he wasnt playing at 2k

Heralds, chosen(?), soulgrinder upgrades and a few other greeblies are the things I always miss on James's lists. Since he never gets me his list in paper or virtual form that's just what we get. Both lists were actually over 2000 points with our Spearhead formations.

You hear that Nitro!? Get me your list next time! You're making people disparage my batreps!

you never listed any heralds? he had a blue scribe, which isnt a lot of points, and changling is only a 5 point upgrade lol. I even included upgrades on all soulgrinders since no one takes them gunless, so the 1600 points was WITH weapon upgrades. Still dont see how I can miss 400 points

Sorry I got busy at work this week due to a DUI, so here is my actual list.

Herald of Tzeentch: Bolt of Tzeentch, We are legion, Master of Sorcery. 95pts
5 Flamers. 175pts

Bluescribe 9 horrors with Changling. with Icon 340pts

10 Horrors with Bolt of Tzeentch. 180pts

10 Bloodletters with Icon 185pts

10 Bloodletters 160pts

4 Fleshhounds with Karanak 110pts

Soulgrinder with Phlegm 160pts

Soulgrinder with Vomit 160pts

Soulgrinder with Vomit 160pts

10 bloodletters with Herald. 275pts.

That should be 2000pts.

I hope this clears things up.

If you smell bad, take a shower before playing me. I hate when people devote too much time to something that they can't even shower.

Thanks Nitro! I guess those upgrades cost more than you thought Mafty. I know I don't know a thing about the Chaos dex so I don't have a clue what any of it costs.

Having not played yet I can't be sure, but didn't I hear somewhere you're meant to play longways along the table on spearhead games?

Run a whole lot of wfrp and other rpg's, play The Woods and Kill Team, gather and look mournfully at imperial guard knowing I'll never finish enough to use them on the tabletop

Yep. It means my IG would have probably had a pretty good advantage with the increased range but since Demons deepstrike everything it didn't really matter. Everything ended up in my deployment zone anyway!

In fact it'd have made your day even worse, since they'd have been able to pin down your deployment zone even more thoroughly.

Do you mean, it would have clogged it up if we had used the long table edge for deployment?

Just to clarify: Looking at he diagram, my deployment zone is on the left and Nitro's is on the right. We actually discussed how easy it would have been for him to just deepstrike and move his first units against the left board edge and keep me off the table, winning on turn 1. Well, except for the Vendetta I guess.

...unless I could have deployed from any of the 3 board edges, but I can't remember without looking if V5 allows that. I didn't think it did.

Not to start THAT rules debate again, but I'm pretty sure you could have tank-shocked your way onto the board. Feel the might of my treads!

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1
