The subject says it all, and while I'm almost sure that the answer is yes, I can't help but thinking that I'm missing something. So if someone could confirm that and tell me why it'd be much appreciated. Thanks.

It's a Psychic Shooting attack, so yes.

Thank you Gwar!, as I thought.

Almost every target will get a cover save, in fact.

After the first unit in line has been hit, any subsequent units will benefit from the 'intervening models' cover save.

That's not true. You could be shooting at a line of single model unit models such as monstrous creatures or vehicles.

A line of monstrous creatures would obscure each other, as would a line of vehicles.

Hormagaunt -> Carnifex wouldn't get the save, but Guardsman -> Guardsman would.

If you have a carnifex unit in a line you would hit each without them giving each other a save.

There's a few other MC/vehicle situations that exist too where a obscurement wouldn't be conferred. Think Ork Warbuggie, Trukk, Looted Wagon and Battle Wagon, for starters.

You'd hit one, because Blood Lance only inflicts a single hit on a unit. If they were in a line with the source of the Lance (BL -> C -> C -> C) then more than half the unit would be obscured from the firer and would receive a cover save.

Monstrous Creatures and vehicles might not get a cover save, but have a pretty good chance. Infantry targets past the first get them reliably.

With an extremely angled shot you might might be able to do it, but most of the time, it'll be cover save city.

Models within the unit do not confer a cover save to the unit. You treat each model as if the other models in the unit were not there in order to determine if they get cover or not.

Balls, of course you do. Still only one hit, though.

Now, if it were lined up like so:

The first two fex would get no saves, but the last one would.

I think the point forkbanger was trying to make is. If all the 'fexs in GWars picture were one brood, they would get no cover save but you'd only get 1 hit anyway. But if the far way 2 were 1 Brood and the other single one the the Brood of 2 would get a cover save against the one hit and the single one wouldn't get a cover save.

So if this is a UNIT of Carnifexes, how many would be hit? One or all three?

The land of cotton.

So by extension, any multi-model unit would take one hit then... vehicle squadrons included.

That's what Blood Lance says.

"Any enemy unit in the lance's path suffers a single Strength 8, AP 1hit..."

One hit per unit.

JOTWW FTW!

Ha ha, silly red marines, let the wolves show you how it's done son!

A JOTWW blast might kill all 3 of those! While the blood lance just does one hit, heh.
