Ringwraiths and Gothmog are both good bets.
Ringwraiths are good as - frankly - barring War Machines they're the main mean you have to inflict damage with your typical regiments. S3 or S4 cavalry sounds nice at first, until you realize your predominant foe is being wounded on 6's at best and 6's / 4's at worst. You also are very unlikely to do much Courage-bombing with unmodified enemy leadership.
Personal suggestions I have for Ringwraiths are:
+ Khamul. He is mostly good in that you can pass off roughly 33% of all casualties you are inflicted.
+ The Undying. His Mastery Level thing is almost always negligible. However, if fighting someone who you expect to have a high level of magic (Elves, someone using a lot of the Forgotten Kingdoms), being able to use lots of Will of Iron's without wasting might (or using the potential for such to discourage casting on the Undying's unit) can be helpful. Of course, negligible use against things like Dwarves.
+ The Shadow Lord. Pretty much gives a unit Enchanted Cloaks. Very good if the unit's at the front of your army, as it deprives a lot of shooting on the units behind. Also useful for keeping hammer units intact.
+ The Betrayer. Best used in combination with Archers (preferably at least three bases), especially when combined with Balefire Arrows. Is practically just as good in combat as well.
+ The Knight of Umbar. Mostly a damage reduction thing used to bar attacks against his unit. However, if the enemy has an amazing hero within 12", it can be hilarious to watch your Morannon Orc formation turn Fight 10.
Obviously, you'll probably only want to take two or three of these characters: A lot of Ringwraiths is pricey.
