Prehabs a dumb question but can JotWW be used against Dreadnoughts? They do have an initiative value (and are as big as monstrous creatures).

But the rule states "MC, beasts, calvary, bikes and infantry models that are touched by this line must take an initiative test".

But i mean JotWW ain't exactly crystal the way it's written.

No it can't, as dreadnoughts are Walkers, which are in turn Vehicles, as per pg 72 of the rulebook. Hope that helps

Ask yourself this:

Is a Dreadnought's Unit Type Monstrous Creature, Beast, Cavalry, Bike or Infantry?

No. It's Vehicle (Walker). Thus, Dreadnoughts are immune to Jaws.

Yeah I know, I just can't find no reason to why a carnifex would be affeced but not a walker. I guess you guys are right though.

Because thats what the rules say? "That doesnt seem right" and "it doesnt seem it should work like that" are not rules arguments.

Yes its an obvious answer, but if you really did sit down and think deeply about it... What is the difference between a Carnifex and a Dreadnaught (in the eyes of a blood-thursty Rune Priest) opening a crack to another dimension swallowing the opponent whole..

Look at BA, their Jump Infantry can swap out their backpacks for a transport, and IIRC they are still considered Jump Infantry. Personally, I would say that because of the Jump Pack the Jump Infantry Models are quick enough to dodge this hairline attack.. yet when you swap those Jump Packs out for a Transport you can still avoid it?

Not that I would give my Rune Priests JotWW anyways against BA... I would use something more like Murderous Hurricane, or Rhino Rush him and use Tempest's Wrath... against that fast army...

They arent considered JI, as they are only infantry - and if they WERE JI they couldnt get in their transport...

You remember incorrectly. They become normal Infantry and thus can be affected by JotWW.

In that case, I apologize for my failure of a memory... that or the failure of my opponent taking advantage of my inexperience... Grrr....!
