I constantly face VC Blood Knights with a BSB with Drakenhof banner (regeneration)
Some odd 15 blood knights
A vampire lord, and a necromancer.
He has a tiny tiny tiny army...
I still can't beat it!

The Most expensive unit would be: Karl Franz (RuneFang, barded horse), Kurt Helborg, and Ludwig Schwarzhelm into a unit of Reiksguard Knights of the Inner circle: 1046 pts base with only 5 knights.
Post Note Clarification: The only reason I would propose these three characters as a unit is because they have interlocking rules to buff each other, I’m still working on the most expensive generic unit.

2500 Points Isstavan Drop site massacre Iron Hands (still waiting for dat codex) 
I managed to play a 1750 point game with minimal proxieing on the first day DE came out.  go me!

Saddening. Still some funny stuff going on. I don't know much but I know there are expensive Chaos lord build where they are on dragons.
