Revised versions of the Ork Lists will go up today with the updated Speed Freeks Heavy Choices and revised  Squiggoth Rules. Articulate and helpful questions and suggestions about any other revisions I missed are welcome.

Again, unless it's in the 4th ed. faq for Codex: Orks, the option of taking a Bike for the Warboss in a KOS list I think would be appreciated.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

The fact that GW went on this message board, responded, and made updates accordingly is very impressive. That combined with the Nids FAQ getting the change it needed, could this be a sign of things to come from GW?? I definately say I like it.

Kudos Jeff Hall for some very nice customer support.

I didn't see the change yet.

Marc, you should also use the revised Madboyz Disturbed Table (the old one has a typo in that you do two things if you roll a '3' and nothing if you roll at '5').

I should be painting.

Did we just Snakes on a Plane GW? If so, cool.

Regardless, thanks Marc and Jeff for responding here. Much appreciated.

Now let's get Samuel L Jackson to read the rules out loud and add 'colorful idioms'

The Warboss on a Bike from WD will be added to the new files. They are starting to go up now, so they should all be up by the end of the day or first thing tomorrow.

Wow.

First I get 3 sodas from the vending machine for the price of 1, now GW promptly responds to customer concerns.

I'd better hurry home and see if Denise Richards is waiting in my bed.

Um.. I may be misreading but the squiggoth does not appear to be a transport, it can have guys with shoota's on it, but they can't disembark.

Wow, thanks for the concern and the quick fix, GWEvents! Now I want to go and convert some mutants.

But I should really finish my terminators first.

OK,
The Following Lists have been updated:

Kroot: Several People have said they get errors when they try to open this one. I could open it on PC and MAC, but I went ahead and made a new version.

Lost and the Damned: I clarified the Wargear for the Traitor Champions (Agitators), it wasn't incorrect before but was a bit misleading. Basically these guys can only take stuff under the heading of "Weapons" and "Wargear." What do you expect for a bunch of C.H.U.D.?

Feral Orks: Replaced with list from Chapter Approved '04. This should fix all the problems.

Speed Freeks: I made a new document incorporating the Kult of Speed Warboss plus various fixes.

Sorry about the problems, and I hope you all enjoy the lists.

Also, while I can make no guarantees about any given tourney, these lists are still official in the eyes of all us in the US Promotions Department.

Bravo guys. This was a great move.

I'm curious though, why not include the Ulthwe Strike Force? Can we read something into it's absence?

Well there is a new Eldar codex in a few months.  Probably it will be rolled into there or abolished.  Either way the 3 year old USF list is probably dead.

Well USF is rumored to still be viable and usable once the new dex is released (based on Phil Kelly's statements at GD Toronto and rumors on warseer). So I guess I'm just curious if this is true and if that means we'll see a download for it later or if its included entirely in the new dex.

Maybe the new 'dex will allow you to buy webway portals as wargear like the DE can. It would make a lot of sense with harlies being in the dex. This is of course purely speculation.

Well, once again the feral orks are misprinted. In every version of the list you will notice that almost every unit has a different ponts cost for nobz when you check the nob datafax and then the nob description listed under the unit.

Also the debate will rage on as to weather kannons on squiggoths will fire at BS2 per the ork codex or at BS3 per the feral ork squiggoth datafax.

Would it be too much to have the lists updated to reflect the new rules. (Such as outriders using the new scout rules, as well as the accompanying page number in the new rulebook.)

Same thing with all of the ork rules just poasted.

While it is nice that they posted the army lists so that everyone has access to them, it really doesn't matter since the current ork codex is almost unplayable in a tournament or a friendly game due to vague or non-existent rules clarifications.

I have over 12,000 points of orks that are collecting dust because no one can agree on the rules for the army.

This move by GW would carry a lot more weight if they had people who play the armies read all of the rules and edit them before they post them again.

Once again every version of the feral ork list has had the same nob points mistakes in it. How many years does it take for somone from GW to read the list and change the mistakes?

these lists area awesome but the gay part is if their not legal in the tournament system cuz who wants to convert a whole kroot army or feral ork amy only to be told that they cant use them in a tournament , thats alot of work. i just hope they will stay legal for flavor for some of the armys

"On the "Legality" issue. The revised lists being uploaded are having the opponents permission line removed. These were legal lists when they came out, and they will stay that way."

That's very good to hear. It's not nice when someone tells you that your 90+ individually crafted and converted mutants are suddenly illegal.

I looked at the KMA rules. Would I be correct in assuming this update was done to make minor corrections and make these armies "tournament legal" and not "permission only?"

Hm...things that pop out at me: the Headhunters and Punji Traps still require Jungle rules and Kroot Hounds are still I4 (instead of I5 in Codex: Tau Empire)...

Would anyone from GW be willing to share why this update took place and what the intent was? Thanks.

Hello,

First of all, thanks to the guys that made this happen.

Wasn't there an update, in WD, to the Lost and the Damned that allowed them to take Stormtrooper type troops?

Also, any possibility of allowing CSM's to take them as allied troops? The way Daemonhunters can be taken as Allies by Imperial Armies?

Rules for the Chosen of Ahriman would also be a really thing to see.

Thanks!

Odd, I spent hours converting a Kroot force, and have a friend with a feral force, and we have never once used them in a tournament. Everything is always legal in friendly games if you can get the opponent to consent. Usually people that are converting entire forces are quite daft anyway.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

There was a Chapter Approved listing stats for Blood Pact -- expensive, but with higher ballistic skills, lower armor saves, special weapons options and so on.

tinfoil there is also a notation on the UK site for using normal IG with doctrines for BP. It lists suggested doctrines for BP there as well.
