"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias |

Necro-posting, I know. But better this then making a new thread.
Someone mentioned a Animated series. Coincidentally, I just read on Salvatores website that a script had been written for the Icewind Dale trilogy. That was the only forthcoming info though. Anyone else hear, or even care, about this?

Is Icewind Dale the series with Drizz't (or whatever his name is)? If so, I'm going to be locking myself in my apartment until the horror that is fanboys passes.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k. Rule #1 - BBAP

At the book signing he said he wouldn't allow an animated series, but that might have been bluster. I do believe he has enough creative control over the character to make that decision, though.

What's my turn undead check against posts? Is that, like, more than 4 HD?
I only read the series this past summer...and hated it. I clearly am no longer a 13 year old boy, so that, I'm sure, is a big part of it. I just thought most of the writing was bad, even by Jr. Fiction standards...

But he loved the graphic novel series, too. And it was something he approved. He claims that if they can do it for Lord of the Rings then they can do it for Drzzt.
I think it would end up a bit like The Fantastic Four movie myself, which is fine if he could get Scarlet J. to play the role of Drzzt, I mean some kind of Dark Elf Priestess.

Arise, Nagash!!!
I think the Icewind Dale trilogy would be a good animated series, but I would like to see the Dark Elf trilogy reimagined as a tale of a young man who, disowned by his homophobic mother, lives out a tortured existence with his cat and an Inhumanoids action figure. He creates an elaborate fantasy world in which he is a magical, scimitar wielding elf that lives underground and has adventures.
