I still think this thread may be redeemable.

Is it just me or does the release of the DA seem to come relatively fast (compared to how GW has been doing)?  If they come out in Feb thats just 4 months since Eldar.  Could it be that GW finally got a clue?  Oddly I have also noticed very few rumors about this upcoming codex...lets hope GW hasnt been able to stop its rumor leaks.

Three 40k releases a year would be great, especially if they did the occasional "multi-faction" release like they did with CoD (a single mini or squad for all / most armies).

I'd be happy with three 40k  + one multi-faction release per year, or alternatively two 40k  + 2 multi-faction releases per year.

I was going to try to argue about how the release in 6 months, but I think legionares is basically correct.

The early eldar release was roughly early to middle october. That gives 4-4 1/2 months to the next release. Thre releases a year would be nice, especially since they have alot of catching up to do for the other armies. I am sure everyone agrees that as it stands, 2 releases a year for 40K isnt nearly enough. 3 is alot better, keeps the rumour mills going and such. The "new" tech they have, three releases isnt too much to ask.

I really pity dark eldar players. They are getting shafted almost if not as bad as sisters players did (waited from the end of 2nd edition to the end of third edition for a codex).

Three would be better. I stopped playing 40K a while ago whie I waited for Codex Eldar and now that it's here i find I'm not as exited as I was and haven't even bought it. More frequent releases would keep me interested so I figure it would do the same for others.

Im like you Zubbiefish, I still havent bought it or CoD (or the Wargear book now that I think about it).  Actually if GW was still worried about rumor control, doing the codex release on a 4 month schedule would work in their favor. People were all caught up in hunting for Eldar rumors and DA pulled a dark horse and slipped up on us. I honestly didnt expect to see DA until April.  Who knows with 2 codecii coming out near each other might kick start my local community.

What about the plastic drop pod?  Any word on that?

Sadly I suspect that since it isn't on the release schedule we won't see it until the Blood Angels

Actually, its rumoured to be a late DA release, just like the harlequins are.

Let's hope so!

The fact that its taken GW this long to put out a plastic Drop Pod is odd, considering just how many they'd sell!

I like to think of the Necron monolith when it comes to the drop pod release, as GW is saying the same circumstances are happening.

Delayed due to molding problems.

Since the drop pods are easily the same dimensions, I find it plausible.

It is a cad model though, so the designs are completley done.

Or so the rumour on warseer says.

Its the largest plastic CAD model yet, so I am willing to side with some error here. If its not fitting right, by all means keep at it until it is dont right.

I think the eldar warwalkers were cad models. If they cant get a simple clear plastic vyper/falcon shield to fit on the front snugly (which they dont, not quite anyways), then I can only imagine how bad the drop pod must be to cause a delay.

As much as I hate giving Europeans credit for anything at all, American date convention is silly. Days are smaller than months are smaller than years. Day, month, year.

But, for whatever reason, Americans say "December 25th is Christmas," and not "25th December."

That way we get to take out the word "of" and "the". Time is money my friend, and saying "The 25th of December" just costs me too much when compared to "December 25th"

DA are gonna really rock this time around.
